My wife and I enjoy playing his trivia every week.  I hope when this mess is over that they continue this with Seth or someone else if he's busy.  Maybe put their cruise directors on a rotation to take turns running trivia.

Same here we are Elite+  with Celebrity * not a e-mail or snail mail .Nothing at all

We get a lot of e-mails from Carnival Casino rates & this is the line we far less used vs HAL ,Princess ,Celebrity ,& Royal Caribbean

I play Trivia, too, with Seth on Tuesdays and Wednesday Wine.  Have also enjoyed all his "Guests" such as Gus, Captain Timmers, VP Charlie Ball, and Stan showing the progress of the Rotterdam, etc.   

 

I also hope they continue this with Seth!

It’s easy to opt out or in,  but since your focus is on land trips I’m sure it’s perfect.  Just curious how many years since you last cruised?  Or been on HAL? 
We get few emails from Princess as it’s been awhile with them.

I suspect that we opted out.  We usually do opt out of vendor emails.

 

The only ones we have not opted out of are Celebrity's last minute Tuesday specials, RCI's Tuesday specials, and last minutes on Princess.   Though we have not seen any of these since covid hit of course.

They were plentiful last year but have  become infrequent

The only Rotterdam update that interests me is the confirmed and chiseled-in-stone date of the inaugural sailing.  Final payment for us folks who are booked is in about a month.

Truly so.  But, why do I receive little information from HAL, Princess, or Carnival (I get more from them than the other two) and receive copious amount of ads/brochures, online as well as hard copies, from Oceania, Regent, and Viking?  Companies that I have never expressed to them any interest in cruising with them.

 

The current CCL shareholder reports clearly state, if one reads it thoroughly, that the Corporation is depending more on the support of past guests  when cruising is able to return and is not depending upon "new cruisers".  

 

The lack of frequent contact by HAL and the Mariner Society has been an on-going issue for some time.

I get an email from HAL at least once a week....and yesterday I got a 31 page brochure all about Alaska cruises for 2022.

So I spoke too soon.  I was at the HAL site earlier today testing price differences for various promotions and I did a few test bookings and left.  
 

sure enough a few hours later I got one of those “did you forget something” emails. This was a new marketing approach from HAL.  I usually only get those when I shop at department stores.

I have received phone calls from my personal cruise person after searching on line.   Have never used a specific individual to book before.  This has been going on for well over a year.

I'm furious with HAL.  I got my TA to send the internet form to change our 2021 Alaska to 2022.  It appeared, then got cancelled (BY HAL).  No refunds, no contact.  They'd better fix it.  They stand to lose a lot more than they owe me.

 

They cancelled on 3/19/21, but the deadline to submit the form was 3/31.  Everything had to go through the TA.
