All inclusive. Not really. Expensive, YES!

I do find it interesting that those of us who have complaints/issues concerning 'marketing' and service changes often come here (CC) to complain vs taking it to the source 'X'...

The more individuals go there the more X is more likely to consider changes to the program(s) or so I believe... do not rely on the thought(s) that X reads the comments here and reacts accordingly.

Many of us, here, will just consider it another complaint for no reason at all for us to think about as were we not happy with the program or the line we would just move on without any pronouncement accordingly... alas, each of us are different in our approach to these things too..

Then again, a few of us were looking for different topics to 'discuss' since we are burning out over previous topics of the last few months  and darn-it, here it is, again!!!

Some of these posts are interesting for the followup comments..... LOL

Nothing new here---

This topic has been discussed for several months and we all have different " wants and needs " .

It all comes down to value for whatever is offered. Ya want it, pay the price-- very simple.

I've said a few times---we don't drink liquor , don't need soft drinks , don't need the internet , don't participate in silent disco, don't enter the Newlywed game, don't go into a hot tub, don't go to the art auction---- don't, don't---- LOL-----What the hell are we doing on a cruise for $10,000 in 12 days ?????

Let's move on to something new --

( No BYE, BYE's please ).

Similar to the OP I find Celebrity’s new pricing model has got me looking elsewhere to sail.  I normally got 1-2 perks but find a significant increase in prices under the new offer.  Whether that is due to a pent up demand (not to mention all the FCC’s needing to be used) or the overall pricing strategy remains to be seen.

I found my March 2021 New Zealand cruise cancelled and the closest comparable cruise in 2022  was significantly more expensive. I looked at other alternatives and wound up booking Princess for a similar price as my cancelled Celebrity cruise.

I haven’t given up on Celebrity and will continue to consider them for future cruises.

OP....thank you for your service.

Hope  you check back with X every so often

After awhile the offers may change. As they have over the years

All inclusive pricing is unfair to folks who do not drink alcohol, and others who like to personalize their vacation package.  We find it easier sometimes but  are not booking anything beyind our  next cruise

Don't care for the "...thank you for your service" dig at those of us who have served in uniform.

Unnecessary and uncalled for.  These cruisers are finding out, as we have, that trying new lines (Princess, Oceania, Azamara, etc) with a variety of ships has a lot to offer over an above what Celebrity is now pushing with AI and other so-called perks.  Variety can be great!

FYI - I served in uniform for 30 years in various theaters in various conflicts.  Your use of the "thank you for your service" is extremely demeaning as applied to adherence to one cruise line.

Why do you assume that we have NOT contacted X about our dismay?

Always Cruzin,

As LGW59 said earlier, the AI is called Always Included.  It is marketing.  It is not by any means all-inclusive.  No disrespect intended, but this AI topic literally has multiple threads and hundreds of posts since it was announced a while ago.  What kind of new feedback are you seeking?

Agree, it’s been beat to death.

I assumed nothing in that vein, yet most who have or plan to, will state so.

As such, if you have done so, then state it. If you plan to, then state it. Either now or in the near future, does not matter for the most part.

Of the many comments over several threads about this issue, I do not believe that I have read where anyone has contacted X about this. Is that not strange given your comment???

I believe you know that this is not the first thread or groups of comments regarding this, do you not agree?

I would go so far as to state that those who announce they are leaving over this would also announce that they spoke to X and the fact they are leaving over this lack of choice inherently in AI...

I served in uniform 22 years and though I found the “thank you for your service” reference to be odd, I did not take it as demeaning.

You are still paying extra. I remember the days when we worked on the basis of £100p.p.n.

And I remember when a gallon of petrol was under a dollar.  And McDonalds hamburgers were less than a quarter.

Tell me...how fast was your internet speed back then?  And what did it cost you?

Prices in the world are a dynamic, ever-changing fact of life.  And any nostalgic look back to "remember the days" is just that - nostalgic.  Nothing more.

Did you not see the picture used to identify OP?

Seems to indicate OP served in uniform. I don't see a dig anywhere.

Don't like paying for things like a drink package or internet that I already get as a perk based on loyalty level. Suggestion: I believe that Celebrity should offer the option of either a reduced fare or extra OBC based on loyalty level. as some lines are doing. That might encourage some to cruise more to achieve a higher level. I see this as an "investment" rather than a "cost".

Wow.  That  in no way was a dig.

Just a genuine thank you after seeing the avatar.  Long line of pro service  family here, ,some still fighting the good fight against many odds.

I was  encouraging OP not to give up on X because they do change programs evey so often.

Where I live  it is customary & we go.out of our way to say thank you whenever  we see a military  logo or uniform..

Anyhow at this point this is like another dress code or tipping thread...not worth it!

Included / inclusive. Picking on words. Sorry to get you riled up on my choice of words. Saying BYE is insulting. As my parents always told me. If you cannot say anything nice, don't say anything at all. They DO NOT offer sailing cruise only. I checked with my TA and was informed they no longer offer that. The least included is paid gratuities and a drink package. Others include a lot more and make no mistake YOU are paying dearly for it. They do have short cruises that are reasonable. However we enjoy 7 day or a little longer. yes they took a hit so did all the others. We have cruised on many cruise lines over the years. As I said in the beginning. Celebrity was our nicest cruises except for the Sky Princess which blew our mind. A beautiful ship and a fantastic cruise. Now they have increased a cruise on that ship to where we will not book it again unless they offer a lower cost. Yes the prices have increased for all lines except Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines. Palm Beach Florida. They sold one ship for junk. The other is now BOGO any cabin, plus 5 free drinks of any kind for 2021 and 2022. One ship and a great deal but only a two day to Grand Bahama island. So we all move on ad cruise as we wish. We have 3 for this year four for 2022 and so far one for 2023. Carnival, Princess, PBCL and we are now getting a price for an RCCL in 2022. Maybe in 2023 the prices might get somewhat back to where they were. At 75 I would like to see that happen soon.

Those who have the finances to afford such. Great. I commend you. We take several cruises a year and choose not blow the wad on one cruise for the year. We do the specialty restaurant one on each cruise. two of our up and coming Princes cruises we received that as a perk. One Carnival cruise we have $500 to spend in the casino. Plus OBC. Nice perks and inexpensive cruises around $70 pp pd plus port charges. if we can book under $100 pp pd that is great for us.
