@bnurickNot meaning to bug you.  But, I know most ships have "sale" days in their jewelry stores on one (or more) of their sea days.  I've got a TON of OBC due to a large fare price decrease.  Since the GF can't go with me on this one because of work, I want to get her a nice piece of jewelry with the OBC.  Do they still have gold, jewel, watch sales in the jewelry stores?

I'm not talking those cheesy $10 watch or costume jewelry sales.  I'm thinking something that is on sale on board but still way overpriced. 😉

My Wife and I were walking around today seeing all these watches in the store windows.  She asked me if anyone wears a watch anymore!  😂 So this question is actually pretty interesting.  I can’t tell you if they are good or bad, but the stores are high end and I would be surprised if you couldn’t find something that can’t break your bank account.  I don’t know about specials, but if on day one you find the watch of a lifetime, just keep going by every other day and see if they eventually come up with something.  That would be my initial thoughts.  Also, the final Celebrity Today’s might say too…. Cheers, it’s lobster and rack of lamb night.  😊 🦞 🐑

Is there any word about covid testing required before disembarking?  I heard the B2B'ers need to be tested (and obviously anyone 16+ who is unvaccinated), but do all passengers?

Thanks!

Is it possible for you to provide a link to where you heard B2B'ers need to be tested as we fall into that scenario and haven't heard that.

Not a link but I can affirm that consecutive cruisers must be tested on Friday evening before their second cruise on Saturday. We are currently on the 6/26 Edge sailing and had our b2b meeting this morning. I was surprised when they told us we would all have to report to the medical area on deck 2 for a nose swab test between 5:30 and 7:00 pm tomorrow.

Greetings!  My wife and I are on the 6/26 Edge sailing to celebrate our anniversary (today). My wife is a big shopper (fortunately not a huge buyer 😎). She went shopping the first sea day and found a $2400 necklace she really liked. The guy told her they would be having a big sale on Thursday so we went back today and bought it for half price. It’s beautiful but probably not worth even the $1200 we paid but it was just slightly more than our OBC so a good deal for us. Happy wife happy life!

@bnurik,

Thanks again for posting your experience on the Edge this week.   I was constantly logging onto Cruise Critic this week to see what else you posted.  Reading your posts made me look forward to my September Edge sailing even more than I originally was (if that's possible).  I so look forward to my "traditional sail-away martini" at the Martini Bar.....thanks in part to your pictures!

Enjoy your remaining time on the ship and have a safe and pleasant journey to your home.

Thanks for all your posts. I’ll be on the 7/10 sailing so I’m really excited to read about your experience. Question: can you comment on the casino experience if you have been there? Is it crowded and if so, does it vary with the time of day or evening? Do you know if the slots are paying about the same as pre-pandemic? I know that might be a silly question, but my husband and I live pretty close to several casinos and we have always enjoyed the slots but have found that the slots seemed to have really tightened up since the pandemic. Maybe its my imagination. I don’t expect to win but I view playing the slots as entertainment and would like to play for a while before tapping out. Thanks!

Casino was as busy as normal. Quite a few comped casino players. Plenty of hand pays on the floor and great drink service.

no complaints from the casino floor

Just saw that the most recent Daily Planner included the Silent Disco.  Didn't think that this would go off any more.  So excited that it is returning and hopeful that it will also be part of our cruise out of St. Maarten for July 17th.  It is one of our favorite activities...just gives us another reason to be excited!!

silent disco has been a blast. Loaded floor in the martini bar!  You will enjoy it and the DJs

We are doing B2B on the July 31 and Aug 7 cruises. I would be very eager to hear your experience with the process Saturday morning.  Thank you.

Do the current cruisers not need to get tested prior to debarking the ship in Fort Lauderdale? I might have misunderstood the testing requirements to re-enter the US because someone on Facebook said there was no mention of on board testing.

Ok Bnurick,

I have been following and reading every detail shared so I would like to first thank you for posting your experience.

Now you deserve a commission, we just booked a Sky Suite for August 28th! Can’t wait to get back on the seas.  We have 6 cruises booked for next year but after reading about your experience we couldn’t wait to January.

What time do you set sail out of Nassau today. Would like to watch on the web cam.

Thanks again, have an outstanding evening and safe travels home.

Cheers! 🍸
