Rare rafinmd Posted July 6, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Thank you for the Tuesday Daily, Rich. A special salute to our Air Traffic Controllers. Love the Confucius quote. Antarctica is Amazing. Not so sure about baked potato soup. Mr. Boston Posted July 6, 2021 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Happy Tuesday everyone and thanks for the daily report Rich. Fun collection days today, I’ll bet air traffic controllers are glad that today will be less busy than yesterday. Confucius certainly got that right. Dinner sounds very nice but a bit too carby for me. I will take the g&t though. Today’s port is on the bucket list and I look forward to the photos. Back to work for me today, glad we got the suitcases unpacked last evening so that’s out of the way. Prayers to all on our prayer list and chin chin to everyone celebrating a happy event.

Rare puppycanducruise Posted July 6, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Good morning. Thanks for the Daily Report. I will kiss my sweetie today, we don't need a day to tell us to.🙂 Fried chicken sounds good too. A big salute to air traffic controllers. Love the quote. The meal suggestion sounds tasty for a fall day. Today it is hot and humid here, so I don't think I want a hot bowl of soup for supper. I'll save that suggestion for a cool day. Love a gin and tonic, my go to drink. Sending prayers for all on the Care List. A toast to all who celebrate. Stay safe.
summer slope Posted July 6, 2021 #9 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Good morning from a nasty Florida. Horrid lightening and heavy rainfall. May have to empty the pool and this isn't even Elsa. Kiss my better half often, love Fried Chicken, and Air Traffic Controllers were really busy last weekend. Confucius was spot on with the quote. Love the meal, have it often in cooler weather. Have never been to Antarctica, looking forward to the photo's. Major prayers and virtual hugs to our care list and a big WoooHooo to our celebration list. Stay safe, social distance, and please continue to wear your mask. Gin and Tonic: A gin and tonic or, less frequently, gin tonic, is a highball cocktail made with gin and tonic water poured over a large amount of ice. The ratio of gin to tonic varies according to taste, strength of the gin, other drink mixers being added, etc., with most recipes calling for a ratio between 1:1 and 1:3. Wikipedia Main alcohol: Gin Ingredients: 1 part to 3 parts gin (to taste), 3 parts tonic water Preparation: In a glass filled with ice cubes, add gin and tonic. Served: On the rocks; poured over ice Standard garnish: A slice or wedge of lime Drinkware: Highball glass, Rocks glass 27

Rare kazu Posted July 6, 2021 #11 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Thanks for the Daily, Rich and our Tuesday smile 🙂 Great collection of days! I’ll kiss DH to celebrate that day. Air Traffic Controllers deserve a day for their hard & stressful work. Fried chicken - yum. Love the Confucius quote - so true. I think we’ll pass on the meal suggestion for today and save it for a cooler day. I see chicken instead - might not be fried though 😉 We haven’t done the full Antarctica experience but we did see some of it on our South America cruise. Wonderful! I had to rip my clematis off my pergola in order to stain this spring and of course, most of it broke. I had a small piece left that looked like it might live so I protected it carefully while the staining was being done and then put a bit of fencing at the bottom of the pergola to help it climb and crossed my fingers…. It worked! A few days ago I saw the beginning of a bloom. First bloom and it is climbing profusely 👍 Then I discovered that my Malva that I started by seed this winter had it’s first bloom! Despite the work weeding, I had lots of rewards yesterday. And took a moment to enjoy some blooms: More weeding on the agenda today. All that rain has made me pay the price. LOL. Had a chuckle when I saw this one the other day so I thought I would share: Prayers for those on the Care list & for everyone that needs them and 🥂 to those on Celebratory / Shout Out list. Have a great Tuesday everyone!! Stay safe & don’t forget your 😷 34 2

grapau27 Posted July 6, 2021 #13 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Thank you for today's daily and care reports. It is 54°F and has been raining continuosly for 12 hours with a lot more forecast. I went out this morning to do a sales call but I'm back home now at 12.45pm. As big Hugger's we kiss a lot too. Fried chicken sounds good as does Gin and Tonic. With the number of planes usually flying I think the Air Traffic Controllers do an amazing job keeping us safe. We have never been to Antarctica but looking forward to any photos posted. I hope everyone has an amazing day. Take care and stay safe. Graham.

cat shepard Posted July 6, 2021 #18 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Thank you for today’s Daily, Rich! A great group of days to celebrate! Thank you for our lists, Roy! Morning Dailyite family. Another morning of light showers. Be safe Floridian Dailyites South & West of me. Not sure how much I will feel here. Profound quote. Pass on the drink and meal. Off to the gym early, then a bunch of errands. Hoping the heavy rains hold off. Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to all who are celebrating! Stay well everyone! ********* Clover Hill NV Tasmanian Cuvée Méthode Traditionnelle Rosé (Tasmania) Tasmania My first Tasmanian wine! You might have to search for this rosé locally, but at the estimated $29.99 a bottle, it sounds like a good one to try. Winemaker Notes #59 Wine Enthusiast Top 100 of 2020 A delicate salmon pink color, this wine has a soft and creamy mousse. Attractive stewed strawberry and dark cherry notes marry perfectly with the wine’s fresh brioche characters. The wine is well structured, with sweet red berries and cream enveloping the palate.A fresh and vibrant wine, it will be best enjoyed young, but will also reward a few years in the cellar. Blend: 59% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir, 4% Pinot Meunier WE93 Wine Enthusiast: Clover Hill's sparklers show off Tasmania's prowess when it comes to serious, traditional method bubbly. With this golden, rose-tinted wine, the nose opens with yeasty, honeyed, baked pear notes with just a sprinkle of ground clove and ginger spice and cherry blossoms. The creamy texture is lifted by persistent bubbles. There's a slight bitterness to the finish, and it lacks a little depth of flavor, but overall this is quite the classy drop. JS90 James Suckling: This offers quite a rich nose with dried strawberry and raspberry, as well as bread dough. Smooth, berry and lemon-pastry palate and a vibrant, light red-cherry finish. Drink now. RP90 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The NV Tasmanian Cuvee Methode Traditionelle Rose gets its pale coppery-flamingo hue from the addition of a bit of still Pinot Noir, but the varietal composition is similar to the regular bottling, at 54% Chardonnay, 43% Pinot Noir and 3% Pinot Meunier. Cherries and sous bois appear on the nose, accompanied by hints of brioche and citrus, while the medium-bodied palate features a rush of refreshing bubbles and a mouthwatering finish. Nicely done!

dfish Posted July 6, 2021 #22 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Good morning, everyone! It is a hazy morning here in Kewadin, Michigan. I am heading back to Midland this morning to visit with some family there. I loved the Antarctic Experience when I went in 2011 on the Veendam. It was a fantastic trip all around. Today's meal is way too carby for me and really is a good one for fall or winter. https://damndelicious.net/2013/10/14/loaded-baked-potato-soup/ If you decide to go with the fried chicken, here's a recipe for that!https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/buttermilk-fried-chicken-recipe1-1972921 28
StLouisCruisers Posted July 6, 2021 #23 Share Posted July 6, 2021 Good morning everyone! Nice to see Nieuw Statendam heading out to sea this morning. Though the bulk of Elsa will be on the west coast of Florida I'm betting things will be iffy on the east coast as well. Hoping all on the Gulf side will be safe and make it through this storm with minimal damage. I'm excited to see Antarctic Experience as our destination of the day. Many here remember my photo tribute to Antarctica in December-January so I will be happy to add a few photos to the Daily today. I haven't been to Antarctica on HAL YET due to cancellations but did go there on Seabourn and Princess. Two totally different experiences. DH has been discussing doing a 79 day Seabourn cruise in 2023 that is a version of the HAL Grand South America and Antarctica cruise we have booked in 2022. That would be heavenly but I'm balking at the six figure price tag. We shall see. What a wonderful group of days today. I'll be sure to kiss my hubby, and would love some fried chicken for dinner tonight. Praise for our air traffic controllers who keep us safe while in the air. Nice quote from Confucius. Loaded Baked Potato Soup is yummy but we always eat that at a restaurant and have never tried to prepare it at home. DH loves Gin and Tonic and I avoid mixed drinks so have no idea what it tastes like. A superb job on today's Daily @richwmn. To Roy @rafinmdthanks for staying up to date on all the care and celebration causes here. A big thanks to all who contribute to the food, drink, and humor here each day. I have a social event to attend today, a Ladies Luncheon for my neighborhood being held at a new neighbor's home. Barbecue is on the menu so that sounds good. It's catered so I hope it's from my favorite barbecue place. 😋 Coming back with photos of Antarctica soon.
