I wonder if they will allow l&s to same class ship.  Guess have to call to find out.

I didnt realize it had to be exact same ship.  That stinks if the same ship is not sailing that itinerary the following year.  Wonder if they would allow if same class ship.

Given how specific they were I doubt it.

We were on the Radiance Christmas cruise that got canceled. Our TA was on the phone with Royal for almost two hours and they came back finally and said there is no lift and shift option because there is nothing equivalent in 2022. We took the refund. Sigh. I’ll add another one to my COVID canceled cruise list.

We were supposed to be on that too.  I was looking so forward to both Christmas and New Years on he ship.  We’ve done Christmas, but never New Years.I still haven’t gotten an email about it.

Unfortunately thanks for the confirmation

Just received my 5-12 feb cancellation on rhapsody out of Tampa.  That is before the canx window quoted in the original list.    Email says accept swap to serenade for “similar” itinerary or cancel.  Would really love to know what “similar” means before I make a decision!

On other hand, I am feeling good (at the moment) about my B2b on Explorer over thanksgiving!  Of course, it’s been like rapid cycling manic depression with all the covid changes.  Super happy and optimistic one day….completely convinced it’s all going to fall apart the next…guess time will tell!

it would have been nice for that to be confirmed in the email.

I got one like this for my Vision sailing of 10-3.  It took a lot of detective work to figure out which sailing had been cancelled.  Such poor customer service.

Your options will be given to you in your cancellation letter.  Most likely in this case there will only be one option

My Vision cancellation gave me an L&S option but since it is a casino comp, that didn't apply.  Bummer

I actually realized that it’s the same letter that went out to everyone so the L&S option was listed but many could not use it because they didn’t meet the requirements of same ship, embarkation port and itinerary length.

Yeah.  I just realized that even though they showed a L&S option, there really isn't an L&S option b/c there isn't another sailing (or should I say ANY sailing) on Vision out of PR.  Very screwed up !

Happy that you will get your retirement cruise but is sad for all those that are now cancelled.

I couldn't agree more. I have very mixed emotions because I know that people on the October 30th Explorer made final payment only to hear that their cruise was cancelled. I would be upset too since Royal had to make these decisions before today. We are in tough times. Things will get better. I know that my sailing first out of the gate could still be in jeopardy. I really wish I could of done my retirement cruise last year. I am grateful that hopefully it will go in November. I am happy but sad. I wish there could of been a better way.

We just did.  Will gladly take a refund and walk away for now, who knows when cruising will ever be back to normal.

Yeah, good idea. Almost bought my Airfare last nite, 12 Canceled this round, 8 for Oct/Nov and 4 for April/May2022. Received email on just 7 on them at 5:15pm EST. All had perfect Cabin and great prices...Figures.

After nearly three hours on the phone bouncing around different departments, the casino assured me that our Vision B2B casino comps would both be put back into our available comps within two day and will be good until March 31st.  And expiration date might be extended again, but that will be determined later.

Those folks speculating on an Aussie season will be disappointed.

I received the following in my email cancelling my Ovation 18/3/22.

"The good news is that a new 2021-2022 Australian domestic program will go on sale Thursday 5th August 2021 from midday AEST, featuring a range of 2- to 10-night coastal cruises from 13th December 2021 to 31st March 2022 on Ovation of the Seas departing from Sydney. The exciting new itineraries include visits to ports such as Eden, Hobart, Adelaide, Brisbane, Port Douglas, Kangaroo Island, Airlie Beach, Cairns, Port Douglas, as well as scenic cruising of the Great Barrier Reef, Willis Island and the South Coast of New South Wales."

However, whether or not the government allows the cruise ships in is a totally different matter. I'd say it's an almost certainty that the new itinerary's on sale tomorrow won't actually go ahead.

Vision starts Jan 24 so the 3rd would be cancelled.

Rhapsody does not start sailing until May 2022

this is exactly my problem with the way cancelations are being done.  I do not have a problem with the cruise lines canceling cruises as that is their decision but the timing of them is very suspect.  They are waiting until people make their final payments then doing the cancellations for the interest free loans.  I’m sure there are people out there who aren’t fortunate enough to have ample money in the bank and zero balances on credit cards.  I’m not here to judge people on their spending habits but people do need vacations and mental breaks to get away.  Putting a couple thousand dollars on a credit card that has a balance and now paying interest on it for several months just isn’t fair to those folks because a big company needs free money.  I’d actually like to see someone file a lawsuit against some of these companies to see what would come out of discovery and if this was planned that way.  If a company takes your money knowing they will not be giving you goods or services then that is the textbook definition of fraud.

This announcement is long-awaited — and we couldn't be more thrilled. Please note, however, as we prepare for our return to sailing, it was necessary to make a few sailing cancelations to accommodate these restarts. The below are regrettably canceled:

  • Anthem of the Seas® departing Southampton: October 20, 2021
  • Brilliance of the Seas® departing Tampa: September 4-October 11, 2021; December 11, 2021; March 28-April 25, 2022
  • Enchantment of the Seas® departing Baltimore: September 4- December 11, 2021
  • Explorer of the Seas® departing San Juan: October 31, 2021
  • Harmony of the Seas® departing Barcelona: October 31, 2021
  • Liberty of the Seas® departing Galveston: September 26, 2021
  • Ovation of the Seas® departing Sydney: October 27, 2021- April 10, 2022
  • Radiance of the Seas® departing Miami: October 15, 2021- April 10, 2022
  • Rhapsody of the Seas® departing Tampa: February 26- April 16, 2022
  • Serenade of the Seas® departing Sydney: October 24, 2021- February 27, 2022
  • Vision of the Seas® departing San Juan/ Fort Lauderdale: September 5, 2021- January 14, 2022

Based on the fact that my Transatlantic cruise with Brilliance of the Seas, from Tampa in April 2022, has been canceled - I am now seriously worried that my Mediterranean-cruise with Brilliance of the Seas, in September 2022 from Ravenna, also will be canceled.

If taking the FCC, it's worth 125% right? Does all OBC carry over except for Promotional OBC,

GoodWill and Booking onboard OBC would carry over? Is this correct?

None of this has changed from previous cancellations.  125% on new money only...not on top of FCC's applied.  Goodwill, redeployment and next cruise OBC can be moved to another reservation (it does not automatically carry over)
