I enjoy sailing with Celebrity because they do……..or they don’t

So positive!  The memories we have of the Martini Bar on Connie our last night will go unmentioned.  Hint:  Someone other than me licked DW's face.

Oh my!  Now, there’s a story I’d like hear.  I’ll wait! lol

Do tell!  Ladies need to know what goes on in there!

This is a bone of contention between DW, our lovely cruising friend DW, and the DHs.  On S Class, the men's room urinals have either quotations on trivia questions engraved on brass plates on display.  The ladies' rooms have no urinals, hence no sayings/trivia.

Because Celebrity does make me feel safe, by their ship design, staff training and corporate decisions;

Because they do make me feel special, thanks to all the attention to small details as well as the staff’s attention, food, drinks, activities etc,

Because they do provide me with unique travel experiences and memories,

Because they don’t annoy me with frequent announcements in several languages and, sales pressure.

They have quotes from famous people above the urinal. I snapped a picture of this one for my DW. I swear we could watch the same movie back to back and she wouldn't remember it. 😄

So nice to read so many positive posts.

I agree with all of the above, especially their no Smoking policy.

...Café Al Bacio pastries

... afternoon tea in Oceanview (I want a scone, whipped cream and jam right now thinking about them)

...the sense of humour from many of the Captains during their daily briefing

...the visibility and approachability of the Senior officers (in public spaces, outside the ship at ports of call, as well as when you leave the ship at disembarkation)

... The infused water and cool clothes when returning to the ship at ports of call

I Just ❤️ Celebrity!

From the moment I arrive at the port, until the moment they finally manage to drag me off the ship... What's not to love? 😄

In all seriousness, l love cruising X because of the crew. I swear sometimes it seems they know what you want before you do.

Loving this post….After cruising with Celebrity for so long it is easy to forget some of those little touches like the orchids in rest rooms and the chilled towels on returning to the ship…

Our son’s GF cruised with us for the first time in September and it was like seeing things anew…The art around the ship, the number and variety of restaurants and bars, the service level…

Thanks for starting this post Lady Arwen!

I love Celebrity because they truly care about the passengers. They very rarely say “no”.

A moment that has always stuck out for me was on the Reflection in 2017. We mentioned in passing to a bartender at the Sunset Bar that we liked how Princess offered “bucket of beer” deals. The next day, the same bartender found us on the pool deck. He had brought a bucket of Corona, ice and lime! It’s how they go above and beyond!

Another vote for the scones!  We’ve been to England many times and they come pretty close to scones there, unlike what is served in coffee shops in the US.  Also the openness of the ships.  We were on a HAL cruise several years ago and it felt so claustrophobic!  I also like that we do not have to make reservations for shows. We found that somewhat stressful when we did a RC cruise.

You are most welcome!  I just needed to get away from some of the negativity being posted lately. We all love to cruise and most of us prefer Celebrity.  So nice to read all these positive and humorous posts.  Thank you guys for making me smile!

I enjoy Celebrity for the suite experience even in the lower Sky Suites.  The Retreat and Luminae particularly on Edge-Class ships is a very nice vacation.  I enjoy that Celebrity ships have not gone the mega-ship amusement park direction.  I enjoy mostly cruising with other adults with not too many kids (been there, over with that) and a lower overall level of noise and distractions.  I enjoy the always gracious staff, the welcome champagne, the smoke-free casino and environment, the free deserts at Cafe al Bacio, the Oceanview/Sunset Bar, and on some ships the World Class Bar.

Well said Tee, and I agree on all your points and the Sky Suites and the Retreat are a real bargain not matched by any mainstream cruise line.

My only complaint and the one thing HAL has over Celebrity is the online airfare bookings program. HAL allows you to not only book flights, but pick out seats and come back at any time up to final payment to make changes on flights and seats online. With Celebrity once you book online to only way to make changes is to call Flights by Celebrity.

Actually we use Flights By Celebrity and I forgot to mention that in my list of what I enjoy.  It is really convenient to book flights and not worry about paying until final payment.  Calling them is never a problem and I prefer that anyway.  Like a live voice!

We also use Flights by Celebrity, but IMO, the website could be better and more user friendly. On our Equinox cruise in August Celebrity offered a $100pp flight credit promo when we booked so we had first class tickets to FLL for less than $600pp on Delta. The flights got changed twice in 60 days by Delta and it did only take a 10 minute phone call to Celebrity to make changes. I tried to  call Delta first and was told there was a 5 hour wait so calling Celebrity was very refreshing. One of the changes by Delta had us arriving in FLL after the cruise departed.

Not paying until final payment is a big plus in these current times. We had 3 Celebrity cruises cancelled in the last 2 years all with air booked with Celebrity, so we ended up with no flight credits even for the cruise that was canceled after final payment. My sister who refuses to use Flights by Celebrity has airline credits with several airlines to use.

I enjoy sailing with Celebrity because they do consistency quite well. When stepping from the gangway into that convivial ships space I am assured of another comfortable and well-attended cruise, in all respects.

Being bombarded with constant announcements and meaningless banter is annoying. Celebrity does not invade my space or my relaxation time with either. Quieter moments can be very enjoyable.
