Yes mask mandate is in effect for this cruise.  We have not seen anyone without masks when inside.  But outside masks are not required.  Watching NFL games outside  on the big screen on the Roof Top Garden is fantastic.  Second game currently chilly.

I must need to clean my glasses as I have seen numerous people without masks and even more with them under their noses and chins.  Big difference in Silhouette and Apex.  Not a bottle of hand sanitizer to be found in casino.  On Silhouette there was one by each machine.  At dinner In Normandy we asked for seats away from others.  We were seated at the most distant table in the dining room. Which we thought was going to be great.  Until they started seating others.  Our waiter could not get between our table and the nearest one to us.  When we left, over half the tables were empty.  No need to cram us up like that.  Maybe others like that close social atmosphere, but I do not.  Will give it one more night and I may be having my dinner from room service or the buffet.  The ship is a beauty though!

Great news about the big screen for NFL games (must remember my good windbreaker).  Not keen on (hopefully) watching my beloved Packers play the championship game at an indoors bar.

Following!

My only regret is that we don’t do social media so will miss a lot of post, but will take what we can get. Doing a B2B on Apex in February part our 49 days at sea challenge. was supposed to sail on Silhouette this week to start the adventure but moved that to March after disembarking Apex.

Sailed Edge in September in a SS and enjoyed Edge. Hope you can grab a suite to compare the Retreat.

Cheers!

Not sure why the preference is to post on Instagram i think we would have to sign up to participate. As a result, we will also miss out on any Instagram posts, but will follow here.

Hope there will be some  posts with photos here on Cruise Critic...along with the review

,  Enjoy!

One of the very few advantages of being a Chargers fan is not having to find a good place to watch the playoffs.

ChicagoPaul-we'll be on the Apex Eastern Caribbean cruise in March. Would like to know what shore excursions for St. Thomas are being offered on the ship. On the website the options are very limited and don't appeal to us since we've been there numerous times. Just want to go to a beach and chill. I know we can hop on an open air taxi to take us to a beach which we've done in the past, but we have shipboard credit to burn. Thanks and have a fabulous time 🙂

Can you get a picture of the passageway (on Deck 5) between the elevator lobby and the Eden/Blu area? I know what it is on the EDGE (I refer to it as the "Enchanted Forest." )  Wondering what it's like on APEX.

Much prefer that Edge corridor; the white suds look like a washing machine has had too many bubbles ( and I dread to think what it would be like in a crush with everyone exiting Eden at the same time)

As a Brit could you find out if they are showing any football games ( round ball ️) in the Craft bar please?

And estimated pax numbers for next week too please !

Only 1090 guests on this sailing of Apex 1-15-22.  Told to us by the Cruise Director during the Comedian show last night.  I also confirmed total by asking an officer while in an elevator.  Also most of the crew have been double masked.

About my previous statement of seeing most people with masks.  We are mostly confining ourselves to the retreat area and when we go to the theatre we are far away from people.  Getting coffee on deck 4 has not been crowded for us.  Last night about 10pm we had drinks away from people around the Martini Bar.  If there are people near us we just move.
