Sorry this is it off the drink subject but we’ll be on the Odysseyin a couple of weeks. Just wondering what the fee is to do I fly? I hope someone on here knows.

Also, how late is the sports bar open at night? I assume all of the food is priced à la cart?

Thanks for any knowledgeable replies.

First session is free, needs to be on a port day.

Book it as soon as you can

Great, I found this thread with only 3 pages to have to catch up on. I'm looking forward to reading during this week!

Note well.... any pictures of drinks need to have a name to go with them. 😊

Sorry, the pink one is called a Strawberry Blonde. Otherwise it has been Long Island iced teas or strongbow.

This one is a BBC

So the pub and giovanni's wine bar(outside without reservations) are included in the udp package, I remember reading differently earlier.

Dan

As part of the UDP you can eat I all the specialty restaurants for dinner and lunch on sea days.
on port days you can go to the pub, or the sports bar and you get $20 credit for any of the food that’s there.

A drink suggestion for you Dave.  I was never much of a gin drinker before but friends on the Navigator last month turned me onto Hendricks Gin.  All the bars have it onboard.  Try a Hendricks Martini with a lemon twist.  Touch of cucumber, refreshing and not too junipery like other gins.  Easy to drink and a good happy hour cocktail.  Cheers!

I'm taking it that this isn't the thread where the AA meetings are?

So today began in the morning at the Windjammer for breakfast. Staff is still serving it and it really wasn’t too bad as far as the crowd is concerned.

after that we headed off the ship into Nassau. I know a lot of people just stay on the ship in Nassau and I think quite a few people did that. When we were leaving it seemed there were still a lot of people around the pool deck. However, we had an excursion on a little pirate ship. It was just a fun little cruise around Nassau in a replica pirate ship while the crew put on a pirate type act for about an hour and a half. It’s a fun little thing but I would take it or leave it next time.

After that I wandered through Nassau for a while and hit up the straw market. The straw market seemed kind of sad it was about 1/3 operational. Maybe 1/3 more was ready to go but was closed today because it’s Sunday. Apparently a lot of Bahamians go to church.

after that we headed back to the ship and had a late lunch at the pub. I had brag to my wife about the poutine that I ate yesterday so she want to hit that up again today. So we had the deep fried pickles, a plate of nachos, and a poutine which we both shared.

They were just as good the next day as they were yesterday.

after that headed back up to the room for a zoom meeting and now I’m sitting on the top deck working my way through my second BBC.

On deck for tonight is the Teppanyaki and I’m not sure what after that. I think will miss the headliner show or dinner reservation overlaps that. We’ll see what’s on deck in the music hall and probably hit that up.

I’m heading to boleros next to try and get my hands on one of those crescendos that John mentioned.

Current score 169-120.

I feel like I wasted my money in a half-a-dozen super bowl pools and should have gone all in on Tree Skier  in TS vs Odyssey, Royal Caribbean Bowl III.

No luck at Boleros for a Crescendo. I’ll try again but in the evening next time. Just hanging in casino waiting for it to open.

Back in the day I used to put Strongbow on ice.  Very enjoyable.

We’re just packing up at the Hilton Garden Inn now. We’ll have a light breakfast and then Uber over to the port.  I’ll check back here in few hours and let you know how it all is going.

How did you like it?  Last week we stayed at our “go-to”, ES, and it will likely be our last time, unless they do a massive remodel.  We are looking for a new hotel that has similar perks 🙂

This is a ridiculously good poutine. As a Canadian citizen I believe I’m qualified to pass judgement. It’s available in the Crown and Compass.

Stop by Boleros and ask Ray for a Crescendo

Tell him John sent you

If you're bold, try a Caipiriha

Or maybe an espresso martini with Bailey's

Stay up late at least once. Jagerbombs help

Hey, John,  IS the Caipiriha in Boleros?  I usually just get a nice sipping rum and listen to some music.

If Ray is still on in April I'll seek out a Crescendo.

Yes, but you can find it in most bars as well

This is good to know. I was hoping there was some lunch value on port days.

I closed out the 1st quarter quietly last night and I’m in a second quarter slump but  I’m sure I’ll rally here in a bit. Just getting rolling now.

We were there a couple weeks ago.  It was our 7th time and probably our last.  We love the location with the stores and a few restaurants.  boy has it gone to hell quick.  My wife wouldnt even walk on the carpets with bare feet.  Needs a complete overhaul and quick.  I would be interested in something else to try as well.  That same yellow wallpaper and green carpet has to go.

I always stay at Hilton properties when traveling I may look for a different one next time.It was OK. The hotel is a little bit tired in a few spots. The airport shuttle was overwhelmed. Took 45 minutes to pick us up. If I stayed there again I would probably just forget about the shuttle and Uber and figure that into the cost. The shuttle that they offer for delivering you to the cruise terminal had times that weren’t convenient for me it was either 10:30 in the morning and I had an 1130 arrival time for it was 1230 or 130. So that struck out too. I ended up using Uber so I could arrive at exactly 1115 so I could get on the ship as quickly as possible. The bed itself is comfortable the staff is good as you would expect.  I always stay at Hilton properties when traveling I may look for a different one next time.
