NavyCruiser Posted August 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2022 It will happen, whether this month, next few months, next year, or few years down the road. Just predict when. Please, Please, Please, NO arguments, NO political statements, whether if you're pro or anti-testing, pro or anti-vaccine. I'll start: Sept 3, 2022 My wife: Jan 1, 2023

gilboman Posted August 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Mid 2023 earliest. HAL doesn't do nearly as many short cruises as other lines and longer cruises can't dump pax off before they get that sick because pax will get sick while on board much more likely than a shorter cruise
CruiserBruce Posted August 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2022 As Canada and Greece still REQUIRE tests to board, I think they have a vote in this...
Rare Mary229 Posted August 4, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2022 HAL has been curiously quiet. No clue 1

Hflors Posted August 4, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 4, 2022 December 31, 2022 the day I have to be tested for my cruise on January 3, 2023. I hope October 31, 2022 so I don't need to be tested for my November cruise...

DaveOKC Posted August 4, 2022 #10 Share Posted August 4, 2022 The day after the last Alaska cruise for HAL in 2022. So mid-Oct this year. I also have a mid-Oct cruise to Panama Canal, so hope it will be before then!
LocoLoco1 Posted August 4, 2022 #11 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Never. Long Int’l cruises to ‘outbreak destinations’ (and maybe for the elderly) will have testing. YELLOW FEVER Vax comes to mind.
SJSULIBRARIAN Posted August 4, 2022 #12 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Mid 2023 for 7-day or less cruises and perhaps never for longer cruises.

I envision us Int’l cruisers carrying a little ‘Library Card’ showing our Vax history AND our most recent Neg. test.

Homala Posted August 4, 2022 #15 Share Posted August 4, 2022 I am hoping it is by your date in early September so we don’t have to test for our cruise on September 17th, but I admit that I think it won’t be until later, maybe even early to mid 2023. But I’m still crossing my fingers!
Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted August 4, 2022 #16 Share Posted August 4, 2022 I think that testing on 7 day and shorter cruises will be gone in October 2022.
Rare FlaMariner Posted August 4, 2022 #17 Share Posted August 4, 2022 November 1, 2022........... (Just need the testing foolishness/dance/hoops/craziness to end before we board with the family for our Thanksgiving cruise!)
silversneakers Posted August 4, 2022 #18 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Then they'll start with "monkey pox" vax requirement🤪

It’s 85% effective against monkey pox. We’re already good to go. So my guess is the C vax requirement will drop when the MP vax requirement begins. I’ll go with November 1.
