Read point 3 specifically.  It doesn’t say children in point 3.

 

Royal has been cruising with 10% unvaccinated guests for a month or longer, and some folks say it’s 15% already.

 

They are approving all exemption requests now on the spot at their email address: 100% of exemptions are changed to approved.

That is true but it didn't matter how long ago your booster was so I'm not sure how relevant that is.  My booster was in December and I still tested 3 days ahead for a Princess cruise more than six months later in June (and got COVID during that cruise).  My husband's booster was about 8 months old.

The updated protocols, if you continue to scroll down on the website, clearly

states “all passengers over the age of 12 are required to be fully vaccinated”. 
 

NOTHING has changed with regards to vaccine requirements.

Nothing has changed for Copenhagen including Certificates of Recovery with provisions for Certificates of Recovery use still in place . Correct ?

They haven’t updated any of that part, tho, only the top part.

 

Note the top part says  “Our current testing protocols will remain in place through August 7, 2022 for all U.S. departures.”

 

Also, recent cruises have been sailing with folks over 12 who are unvaccinated — 10-15% on some ships.

 

The verbiage is obvious, you’re just unwilling to accept it.

For obvious  reasons you refuse to see the reality. 

Testing and ONLY testing protocols have been tweaked. Vaccine protocols remain as they have been, until the next update in the coming weeks. 

 

I don’t know why you keep bringing up that ships have had unvaccinated on them; we all know that. Predominately unvaccinated children, that pool has NOT been expanded with this announcement.

Effective Thursday, 30 June 2022: 

  • Pre arrival COVID-19 testing is no longer required to enter the Cayman Islands.
  • Mandatory mask wearing requirements in the Cayman Islands has been removed.

To ensure the health and safety of all persons travelling to the Cayman Islands, all travellers must:
  1. Apply to the Travel Cayman portal for an official Certificate to Travel by requesting a Travel Declaration.
  2. Be fully vaccinated by a WHO approved vaccine. 
  3. Have suitable Medical and Travel Insurance, which you should ensure that COVID-19 is not an exclusion to the existing policies.

I like John Heald, I've met John Heald.  However, I know that there are some things that are out of his wheel house and can be wrong at times.  I think this is one of them:

CRUISES 5 DAYS OR LESS

Except where destination requirements differ (see below), effective with sailings departing August 4, 2022, there will be no pre-cruise testing for fully vaccinated guests booked on certain cruises with itineraries 5 days or less.

  • Due to destination requirements, ALL guests on itineraries that include Bahamas, Bermuda and Grand Cayman must complete a pre-cruise test, irrespective of the length of the cruise.
  • For itineraries that include Bahamas and Grand Cayman, guests may take either a PCR or antigen test starting 3 days before departure (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Wednesday).
  • For itineraries that include Bermuda, in order to comply with destination regulations, guests may take either a PCR or an antigen test within the timelines specified below:
    • A PCR test within 72 hours prior to sailing (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Wednesday).
    • An antigen test no earlier than two days prior to sailing (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Thursday).

CRUISES 6 DAYS OR MORE

On cruises 6 days or longer, testing requirements remain in place for guests age 2 and older. Except where destination requirements differ (see below), effective with sailings departing August 4, 2022, all guests may take their test (PCR or antigen) starting 3 days before departure.

So, of the four governments, Bermuda, Bahamas, Canada, Grand Cayan, only two now require testing and three required some type of application with personal information to enter.  And one requires a $40.00 nonrefundable entry fee to be submitted with application.  As of right now!

I called yesterday, and was told for USA departures, not going to Canada or Bermuda, you don't even need to file for exemption anymore to cruise as an ADULT unjabbed. They said they are cruising with, "a higher % of vaccinated guests than that the general population". (which in the USA roughly 66% of the population are considered fully vaccinated, US Coronavirus vaccine tracker | USAFacts) 

 

I was told that they could tell me at time of booking if that sailing was eligible to book for nonjabbed, or if it had hit the capacity.

 

Per their own message, it sounds like very soon, as long as the local countries a ship is visiting, they plan to move away from restrictions.  "As we begin to transition to a point where everyone, regardless of vaccination status, will be able to sail with us once again, we continue to work closely with our destination partners."  🥰🥰

Carnival sure seems to have  a different agreement with the islands than RC

Yeah, the folks at the call center are always right. 
 

no one has ever showed up and been denied boarding based on information from the call center.  
 

The OFFICIAL policy statement (updated last night)  is on the web site, and does not match the information you were given
