Filet Mignon on Kid’s Menu

Filet Mignon is listed on Kid’sMenu. Is this a filet or just a sirloin steak?

It is a small 4 ounce Filet and when I've had it was always a filet -  usually and end cut before they cut the regular Filet's

 

For us it's the perfect portion but some order 2.

Thank you for reminding me about the kid's menu.  

I remember on your past blogs, that you order from the kid's menu sometimes.

That would be perfect for me - more room for drinks and desserts!!

Fingers crossed that the filet doesn't get changed to sirloin.  Since I can't eat fish or seafood the kids filet It has been my go to in Luminae pm E class where I can't order from the MDR menu.

On the Solstice in September the filet was no longer available.

That was a big disappointment for me since I normally order it every other night.

They sometimes run out as this was intended as a kids item with low demand.  You only get a few small filets from each whole tenderloin.

Hmmmm.....I was able to order it a couple of times on my Solstice September 24 cruise.

Had it recently on Reflection but it is not even on the menu on Equinox.

But our waiter got us a filet anyway when we asked, in Luminae.  Not sure about other restaurants

We had a 5 oz sirloin on our CruisePlanner menu and then they just deleted all of the Kids Menu items.

Was that before or after the changes that started this month.

We were able to order the kids filet in late Oct on Infinity.

The changes to the MDR menus happened at the start of this month.  The menu has changed.

On EQ now and had kids filet last week. I have never actually seen the menu. I just order it.

On Solstice November 12-19, I was told it was"unavailable".

I was on Solstice for a B2B in December and had the kids Filet 3 or 4 times. Perfectly prepared -  I had it with a Baked Potato instead of the standard.

It should be.   It's the same menu for MDR, Blu and Luminae.

Do you have to ask for the kids menu? Should it be on the app? Asking because I don't see a kids menu on the app for my Constellation cruise for 02/03. Thanks

When I traveled with a child booked in my cabin last June the children’s menu showed in the app. When I cruised in Oct with just my DH and I the children’s menu didn’t show. I don’t know if that menu showed because of my grandson in the cabin or if the menu is no longer there. Maybe someone who is currently cruising with a child can let us know if they can see the children’s menu in the Celebrity app.

It's on the MDR menu near the bottom on the app but available in all Restaurants I believe including the Specialties.

I think with the current cutbacks you are going to have better luck requesting it in Luminae than you will in the MDR.   It certainly wasn't on the childs menu on Equinox on the last 2 sailings.   The sirloin was pretty good though and on the menu every day.
