Decided since I do not know what the next week could be in the way of fluid’s hydration to stick with decaf coffee.

Ok. No decaf. Really. A busy place like this.  Ok so I’ll move up in the world.  Water.

Now to order something they probably ran out of.

How was your dinner?  We are staying here again next Sunday and thought we could eat there.

Everything is ala carte.

I had chicken parmigiana. Very large serving. Could not finish.
Spouse had filet mashed potatoes and vegetables medaly.  He said it was excellent.

We asked for Caesar’s salad. They brought all the food at one time.  The side salad

was massive
we told them kindly that we cannot eat all that at one time. They took the salad back and removed it from bill. The were understanding. We told them

we thought the salad would be served before entres

Spouse had a mix drink. Crown Royal an 7- up. $14.

We would definitely eat their again.

Dinner was at “Dolores but don’t call me Loleta” in Brickell. Fantastic food and I highly recommend this place.

We started outside but it started to rain so we moved indoors. Decor was very cool.

I started out with a much needed cocktail. A Ron Zacapa Old Fashioned. Linda a frozen Sangria.

Happy hour prices were a big plus.

It’s nice that an appetizer comes with the entree price. For appetizers I had the lobster quesadillas and Linda the fried plantain. So good.

We also got an order of cornbread. Best cornbread I’ve ever eaten. Look at that scoop of butter

For mains Linda had the fried chicken which had a great crust and had some sweetness to it.

I had the black truffle linguine which was heavenly. Loved that thick parmesan cream sauce.

We split their world famous chocolate cake. It was very good but I don’t know if it’s really world famous. It did come with sides of strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.

After that I was in a food coma. We went back to the hotel for a nightcap.

A smoked old fashioned. I’ll give this hotel a lot of credit for pleasing us. When I asked where the bar was for a nightcap they said let that be on us and gave us a $30 credit. I thought that was really nice after the day we had. Time for night night. See everyone tomorrow for our adventures.

Cheers.

PS. Thanks to everyone for their support and help in all the hotel problems we had today. You all are the best!

If Greg had a food coma, we had the meat sweats thanks to the JWB Steak House.

We ordered the wagu meat balls and Caesar salad for apps.

We ordered one main for the three of us. The 56oz tomahawk with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts.

The bone was basically all that was left.

I noticed my hotel said check in after 1 pm. That's very early compared to normal texas hotels. So no complaints.

I've also never ever had one of these and actually never been close to one. What are the handles for. Very wierd imo.

Awesome bidet, much nicer than the front loaders Royal uses.

Handles are the hot and cold

Bella can explain

We are now resting after a post dinner walk on the boardwalk.  Bags are organized and luggage’s tags are on them. Clocks have been changed and an alarm is set. It’s time to say goodnight for our household.

See you in the morning.

@Sea Dog we just missed each other.  We arrived around 6:40 and were seated in the outdoor rooftop area shortly after.  It was an excellent meal for us too.
All tucked in and ready for tomorrow.  Anyone else feel it’s a bit surreal that it’s finally here after all these months of talking about it??

See you in the morning!

I finished packing for the most part and will finish up a few last things tomorrow. Bought my usual cruise orchid today. They Home Depot didn’t have a very good selection. Oh well. Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow, but I guess that’s actually today. 😴

i feel like i should have driven to Miami this weekend just to say hi to everyone. lol. loving this thread! thanks for doing this, all!

Me, too! Probably wouldn’t have been such a good idea with all the traffic though. We would have spent the whole day in the car stuck in traffic.

Glad that even though there have been a few, or in some cases like @Sea Dog a lot of glitches, everyone seems to be arriving safely in the Miami area.

I’ll be pulling up the Port Miami webcam to watch your sailaway so be sure you’re all waving!

Good morning

I cannot believe I am

up now.

At home most days I would be saying goodbye to spouse as he heads off to work, then turning over and going back to sleep.

The hotel may be old, and rooms small but it was quiet and the beds we’re comfy.

I must have been tired and fell asleep quick, because at 4:30 I saw the smoke detector light flashing every 10 seconds above our bed. Did not notice last night.

Eventually we will head down to breakfast and then hat ready for going to port.

Thanks for putting up with me.

@Sea Dog The Zacapa Old Fashioned or the Smoked Old Fashioned, which was the better of the two? Inquiring minds want to know.m

Good question, I liked both of them as they tasted very different from each other. The smoked old fashioned was made with Bulleit which I like. The Ron Zavala was very smooth.

Obligatory shot of Q5 Express all packed.

Of course it was yesterday morning when the sun was on time😉

Kind of bittersweet. This is her last trip on cruise duty. She gets replaced with a shiny blue Musk Mobile on the 27th. Not all is lost though, she becomes the chariot of Pat and Amanda on April 14 or so. And she'll be back cruising this fall for the wedding cruise
