I have been trying to upload some videos, but it doesn’t seem to be working.  Can you see what is above this?  Maybe I have to do them one at a time, but it takes ages.  Maybe I’ll try tomorrow in Ireland!

The message on CC is:

"We could not locate the item you are trying to view".

Worked for me on a MacBook with Firefox browser, two identical eight second videos of costumed stilt dancers.

Great thread, by the way.

Oh, well, I’ll try again from the airport tomorrow if there’s time.

Dinner was very nice.  They were trying hard to allow everyone to finish in time to go to the party around the Lido pool.  I’m afraid we didn’t stay, as it was SO crowded.  I took a few pictures and we left.  I thought it might be on the TV, but no luck there either.  Maybe someone with a place to sit might be able to tell us about the ceremony.

Dinner, scallops and lobster, tomato bisque, tenderloin and the chocolate dessert.

I could view both on my iPad using Safari, Ann!

Because the Germans flattened the city center in WW2 Rotterdam is one of the ugliest cities in The Netherlands, but at sunset they made the best out of it. Last view from the veranda before we're heading home.

Thanks so much for a great thread!  So enjoyed your photos and reporting.  I can see the videos without any issue.   Such a nice balance!

We loved Rotterdam,  found its energy amazing,  such a vibrant city, I’m shocked anyone could call it ugly.

Fabulous pictures.  I would love to show them to the Hotel Manager on the Westerdam (if she can be found) where they did nothing except pass around a few snacks in the Rolling Stone Lounge during the normal dance set.

We had a final quick breakfast in the Lido this morning, and made it to our bus for our Rotterdam tour and transfer to Schiphol Airport, where we are now waiting for our flight to Ireland.  So it’s all over for us, but I hope there will be some CC members cruising on to let us know what happens next!  Will there be that “special gift” that we were told about, or was that just a reference to the 150 tiles?  Will the laundry situation improve?  Will the festivities continue?  Inquiring minds want to know…..

Oops!  It seems I left an AirTag behind!  I hunted and hunted for my suitcase one and decided I had packed it already.  Now that I have internet I did a search to see if all four were with us, and one is still on the Wilhelminakade!  Somewhere in room 5050 is my AirTag.  Isn’t that funny - something like one of those Cruising Ducks, now there is a Cruising AirTag.

Hank

That’s what happens when a big shot is on board 😛.  Too bad they don’t just do a normal cruise for them because they probably think why do our customers complain so much.  This is as good as it gets 🤪.

Well darn on leaving it behind.  But, on the bright side, if it isn’t found, you can see where it and the ship goes until the battery dies 😉

I was surprised by that also! We were there for several day last year and thought they had some really fun, quirky architecture. We enjoyed walking around the city very much.

We happened to be there on the day of the 80th anniversary of the bombing and visited their small but very interesting museum dedicated to the bombing. It was well worth a visit.

Hi Ann,

Having never sailed on HAL before, I have been following your live thread with great interest. (Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories and photos with us!) The food looks incredible, glad to see that my mom and I aren’t the only individuals who enjoy taking pictures of food. 😂

How have you been enjoying the entertainment onboard so far? Have you had a chance to meet either Doug Parker from Cruise Radio or Tony from La Lido Loca? I think Tony mentioned that there are media onboard this cruise.

Hope you have a great day!

Yes, wonderful review. I love all the food pics and menus. First sailing on HAL/Rotterdam on 29th - hope we like it as much as Celebrity as they have gotten soooo expensive. I’ve been following Doug Parker’s reports and tweets too!

Mitzi and I are sorry we could not track you down the last couple of days to say goodbye. We really enjoyed sailing with you and Pat and hope we can do it again sometime!

I can check at the front desk to see if your Air Tag was turned in.

Tony and Martha are now our next door neighbors.

I guess we will have to start behaving ourselves 😉!
