Rare puppycanducruise Posted January 25 #7 Share Posted January 25 Good morning from a very foggy Ontario. Thanks for the Report. Thanks for the maps. It's also Robbie Burns Day, but I won't be eating haggis. I'm sure hubby will have a glass of scotch. I like the quote. Hubby stopped snoring when he got a CPAP machine. I'm happy to eat the meal, drink the cocktail and the wine. I've never been to today's port. Cheers for all the celebrations. Prayers for everyone on the Care List. Have a good day. Stay safe.

Rare rafinmd Posted January 25 #9 Share Posted January 25 Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Ive almost always had a room of my own. Too many of our Astronauts have gone through line of duty deaths. I try to avoid clashing clothes. The quote is quite interesting. I don't think I've ever been to the Seychelles. Two great days in Southern Hemisphere history. The meal sounds quite nice, Because choice is good my alternative is Watermelon Carpaccio, Veal Parmigiana, and Triple Berry Alaskan Tart as served on MS Prinsendam January 25, 2019: Roy 32

StLouisCruisers Posted January 25 #11 Share Posted January 25 Good morning friends! We've been getting rain overnight, heavy at times. Temperature is 62 and we should reach 70 with more rain and thunderstorms at times during the day. I wish we'd put the rain gauge outside again but it will be what it will be, no matter if it's measured or not. There's thunder out there right now. Thank you Jacqui @kazu and Roy @rafinmd for posting the Daily and Fleet Report and the fleet maps for us today. I think I'll avoid clashing clothes today instead of celebrating it. I'm lucky to have a room of my own anytime I want it. It's nice to have a NASA day of remembrance for all who gave up their lives to advance space exploration. I like the quote and am thrilled to see a day where I would enjoy the meal of herb roasted chicken, the screw driver drink and the lovely champagne! 🥂 Three for three! Good for this day in history, for Sao Paulo and Antarctica. Thanks go to our friends Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Ann @cat shepard for presenting us their reports today. Prayers for all here on the Daily in need, my family members and friends, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the poor people held hostage, and the US troops on bases and ships avoiding shelling, rockets, and drone hits from the Houthi terrorists and other Iran-backed terrorists. It's sickening to hear of it every single day. 🙏 Roy @rafinmd I'm sorry to hear your PSA numbers are up and hope this next treatment with pills can do some good to reverse that trend. Cheers to all celebrating happy events this day and for all the cruisers. 🎉 The cruise lines must be ecstatic to see everyone back to cruising. 🚢 Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for the Care and Celebration lists each morning. It's too bad you have to wait another month for something to be done, but I hope you can hang in there! Prayers for you daily! 🙏 The port today is Mahe Island, Victoria, Seychelles. It was our port before on Sept. 29, 2021 and Oct. 1, 2023. I've given up ever going there. Plans have not worked out for that voyage. Here are the links if you have photos. Before dinner last night I saw the van with the photographer/video crew back up the street. They set up some tri-pods with equipment and then sat and waited around. After dinner I saw a Sheriff vehicle up there and eventually they both left together. I don't know if the deputy was officially escorting them off our street or not but we shall see if anything happens today with the "movie". Hope everyone here has a good day. Stay safe and keep well.
Rare ottahand7 Posted January 25 #12 Share Posted January 25 Good morning from near HMC. Very windy once more, may or may not tender over for lunch. Full ship equals spotty service about the ship. Lido food service still excellent but waiters and beverage runners few and far between. Last night one bar open at 4 pm when we showed and no waiters. We have been doing a lot of serve ourselves in the Neptune Lounge. We have an early reservation in MDR so we haven't had slow service there. Overall we are having a great time. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports and for the care and celebrations reports each day. Prayers for those needing them. 32

StLouisCruisers Posted January 25 #14 Share Posted January 25 For something cheery, I'll post DD's newest creation before Valentine's Day, a romantic blush colored Celebration tree. seagarsmoker Posted January 25 #16 Share Posted January 25 Good morning dailyites and thank you for the Daily Report. Rare Nickelpenny Posted January 25 #17 Share Posted January 25 Good early morning (for me) and thanks for the daily and fleet reports. Growing up I never had a room of my own but I have had one now for eons. I try to not have my clothes clash and thoughts for those astronauts we have lost - either during their working days or after. Funny quote! I would love the meal, drink and Korbel Brut is my fav champagne. Never been to the Seychelles. Great days in history. Yesterday was an interesting day at the research study. I did about 3 hours of memory tasks and looking back at my memories of different periods of my life. Now I have to wear a device that will record snippets of time (about 30 seconds) throughout the day and answer some questions 5x/day when the app asks me to reflect. I have to do this for 10 days. Next time will be an MRI of my brain while I do tasks (in 2 weeks). PT was challenging and I have sent a message to the pain doc about other injections because he did receive the recommendations from the surgeon - who I see in 2 weeks. We will see. We will have cloudy skies today and presently it is 44F heading up to high 50s. Subbing to day at a middle school doing PE. But the gym first. Thoughts for those on the care list and cheers to those celebrating. Have a great day everyone! 26

Rare Crazy For Cats Posted January 25 #19 Share Posted January 25 Good Morning, thanks for the daily fleet report. It’s a rainy morning with the temperatures in the 50’s, I expect the snow to vanish by this afternoon. Today’s meal suggestion is a favorite here, although tonight we’ll have turkey breast. I haven’t had the drink of the day in a long time, it used to be a favorite. I ordered DH roses for Valentines Day and they arrived yesterday, they are Lego so he’ll have fun putting them together. I hope everyone has a good day today. Mona would push me out of bed to get breakfast if she could. 24

Rare Denise T Posted January 25 #22 Share Posted January 25 Good Thursday morning. Thank you for the Daily and Fleet reports. Like the meal and drink of the day. Rain, rain, and more rain. Fancy is not happy about that. At least the snow should be out of here by the weekend. Today, I will have a class today and am working on grading various assignments. Thinking of all on the care list. Celebrating with all who are celebrating. Have a safe and healthy day. 26
cat shepard Posted January 25 #23 Share Posted January 25 (edited) Thank you for today’s FR & D, Jacqui! Roy, love both sets of maps. Lots of work involved - thank you! It is 63 and looks to be as beautiful a day as yesterday was. The moon & Venus greeted Bindi and me on this morning’s walk. I wish I had taken a few pictures of the moon, since this one has a weird green light on it - aliens perhaps? The early morning light makes Venus look less bright than it is. Vanessa, though I am glad you heard from the radiologist (after getting a nudge or two from the neurosurgeon), I sure wish your appointment was sooner. Probably not quite as much as you do, but close. Praying that it sets you on the path to permanent pain relief. And lots of quality sleep. Gym, Bindi walks, chores. I need to plan the appetizers I am bringing to a neighbor’s on Saturday. We will be gathering there after attending a wine tasting at our favorite wine bar, so I want something that I can prep ahead and cook fast. Prayers for all who need our support. Those suffering from pain and debilitating conditions, grieving the loss of a loved one, the caregivers, and those in a funk. Cheers to all who are celebrating! May we each find a reason to smile today! ********** Korbel Extra Dry California Champagne This sparkling wine might not have the pedigree that others have, but it consistently gets very good ratings from consumers & critics, is easy to find - and if you want to buy enough for a big party is priced right. And how many other wines have we seen with “tutti-fruitti” personalities? It might be a tad too sweet for me. Tons of distributors with prices starting at $11.94. 87/100, Wine Enthusiast Critic tasting note: "A tutti-frutti personality makes this wine easy and approachable. It's lightly sweet and smells and tastes floral and peachy." Edited January 25 by cat shepard 21 12
1ANGELCAT Posted January 25 #24 Share Posted January 25 Good rainy morning, the snow has just about melted away. In honor of Robbie Burns night I have 2 bottles of Irn-Bru in the fridge to celebrate with.
