2:30 in the afternoon, our 30th anniversary. Having a bottle of riesling on the balcony. Wifi is adequate for this, but probably not for pictures. will probably have to go to the deck 8 internet cafe. looks like i am online for 24 hours. on the chromebook, my phone could not create an account. good news is it looks like i have 2 24 hour sessions instead of one 48 hour. internet for one device is $120 for the week, our D+ discount would make that $40, but i'm cheap, so it looks like i will try and use 4 24 hour sessions.

 

Chops was a bust last night. It started fine, shrimp cocktail, bacon, and scallops were all good. had ceasar salad and crispy goat cheese salad. But after salads we waited 50 minutes for entrees. at around 35 minutes i called manager over and asked what's up. they apologized and we ended up gettting meal comped. they also offered us comp drinks. never really found out what happened. we had ribeye and veal. cheesecake to go. we really only saved $17.50 since we had a D+ BOGO.personally i wish we just had a better experience. they did bring a cake and sang happy anneversary, that was nice. It was carrot cake, pretty good.

 

We showed up in D lounge around 5:30 and it was not crowded, good service.

One of our bags was late getting to room, so I went to lounge in swimsuit. No problem, Carlington even helped locate the bag. He let us know when it got delivered, and i went to change for Chops. We did stop in CL for a minute to see about our cabana. It looks like we got one, happy day. Not sure which one yet, hope it not's hillside. Lauara tells me she is not a mountain goat. BTW, the CL was empty, one of the waitstaff, Bo, entertained us for a few minutes. His wife will be one of the new dancers in a couple of weeks.

 

Went to show, it was fun. Aerielist was OK, nothing new. CD Jaimie was pretty good, not overly irritating. Comic is Chris Bliss. His comedy was just OK, but he did a juggling routine to a Beatles song that was out of this world. he kept time to the music which kept changing. He is doing adult routine Monday night.

 

Casino was good to us, Laura was up $250 on three card. Always good to start hot. I'm sure it will cool off. There are craft beers in teh pub, i took a pic of the list and will post it soon. gotta go

First off, I'm probably not much of an authority on the subject of craft beer. I'm really not sure what qualifies, but here are some of the offering that may or may not be considered craft beer. BTW, I generally dring Newcastle Brown, Corona and Bud Light. It's all good to me

On another note, the Fosters Oil can now seems to be included in package. the only one not is Chimay

 

Chair hogging is not allowed. the enforcement is even slightly aggressive. St Tropez is nice but absolutely deserted. They need to figure out what to do with it. In my opinion the new glass is fine, it was not overly dirty and i'm sure it cuts down on teh wind. no idea on shorts in dining room yet since we ate at chops. tonight is formal, so I really don't expect to see them, but who knows. our table is on main floor next to captains table. i contacted Royal /dining to request it, and they came through.

Thanks for the update. Sorry your Chops experience wasn't great. That was our experience last year on FOS as well. Nice they comped your meal though. :)

 

Do you plan on going to Sabor? Would love to hear your take on that.
