So unlike a lot of people here, our December Western Caribbean cruise actually went down in price today, but is not included in the sale. How do I try and get the lower price?

We don't have a TA, put a deposit down but have not done final payment. But we did book airfare try EZAir at s great price a few weeks ago.

Thank you!!

Since you booked direct just call Princess and ask how you can take advantage of the new price. ;)

Princess has changed their Terms & Conditions page for this promo. I called them this morning as that page listed zero restrictions on cabin type for the beverage package.

They said, Oh, no. It says for balcony and above. I took a snip of the page and sent it to them. What it says NOW is:

Sale ends August 18, 11:59pm PT

Don't miss our biggest offer ever! We are offering our All-Inclusive Beverage Package for FREE for the first two guests in a balcony stateroom, mini-suite or suite†, FREE Specialty Dining for two when you book a mini-suite or suite‡, up to 50% off 3rd or 4th guest fares**, and only $100 deposit per person. Don't miss this amazing cruise deal!

The word Balcony never appeared on the page at all.

Of course they refused to honor what it said at the time and I was NOT even offered the option of the customer satisfaction survey. The woman knew I was unhappy with her so I wasn't given the chance to press 1 on the survey.

Last night (HST) it said balcony & above got the AIBP and minisuites & above got a specialty dinner. Who knows what wrong but at least it's back to what I read last night.

And I agree...there are too many mistakes & contradictory information on their website.

I'm so excited! Our price stayed the same and we received the AIBP. Add that to having an extended balcony, and we are doing a happy dance.

I never buy the AIBP as I'm never sure that it would pay off for me. It's cool to get this deal and not have to really think about what I want to have while cruising. :):):)

I agree......Princess should have honored what the web site said.

This is the snip from the Princess site this morning when I called. There were no cabin type restrictions other than for the Specialty Dining. The word "Balcony" appears nowhere on the page.

I have only been on one Princess cruise a long time ago. I have done about 6 Celebrity cruises with the last one having the drink package. Now they have put it in their pricing. Anyway what do you get with Princess drink package? Do people normally upgrade to next higher package to get better drinks covered? Are cruisers happy with it? Also has anyone done both a Celebrity and a Princess cruise with drink package and was there much difference or not? Thanks!

There is no "next higher package". There is one package. Period. It covers almost every drink on the ship. Very few items are more than $10.

As far as the wording, they can change the terms and conditions of the offer at any time, and what only applies is what is on the website at the time you made the booking. If you put a hold when the original offer was up it should be honored, but if you booked after it changed they are completely in the right.

They may have seen too many inside bookings under the deal early on and decided to adjust.

IDK why the posters who are saying their price stayed the same and they'll take the free drink package even though they would never buy it nor get the value out.

Why not take the OBC instead? I if was booking this sale I would take the optional OBC since I would not spend that much in drinks.

I wish I had jumped early on since the $150 OBC pp won't likely cover the difference between Inside and Balcony if I was to make a booking on spec for 2016. If you want a Balcony anyway, it's a pretty good deal to get $300 for the cabin in OBC.

Darn, I only realized now that Princess changed their mind, or made an initial mistake. The earliest bookers of Inside cabins got the worm for sure!!

Just because they wouldn't buy it doesn't mean they'll get less value from it than the OBC.

Thank you for posting this. I booked last night and there was nothing about it applying to balcony and above cabins. I also did screen captures of my booking. Fortunately, I only put a hold on it with the intention of having a TA take care of adding the future cruise credit for the deposit. Now I will be calling and canceling instead and I will tell them why. Between this and Princess canceling 4 of my booked cruises, and now wanting 200% from singles in all inside cabins, I just don't see much future with them.

It seems like there is a + (cross?) after the word stateroom - was there any explanation for this asterix somewhere below (did it specify the category of stateroom required)?

I have a balcony booked for Dec, 2016 under a Casino rate. My TA emailed yesterday, asking if I wanted the new Sale for an additional $354/pp to include the Beverage Package. I declined as I do not drink usually take the soda or the other soda package.

We sail both lines.

Princess only has one all inclusive drink package - there are no upgrades. But that wouldn't be necessary anyways.

Have done Celebrity cruises with the drink package and we have had to upgrade to get decent red wine (and the wonderful Molecular Bar drinks which are now gone :( ).

All drinks (including the wine) are much less expensive on Princess and most fall under the $10/glass limit.

There are many kinds of martinis. The difference is that they are in the normal size martini glass, not the huge one that Celebrity uses for the "interesting" ones. So you'd have to order two to get as much liquor - but if you have a package that won't matter.

Our cruise is 17 days. Buying the AIBP would cost somewhere over $900. Here, we're getting it essentially in place of $250 OBC. That makes it a darned good deal. At cruise ship prices, my normal vacation consumption would easily be more than $250.

Even though I would never spend $900 for the package, I can easily enjoy the convenience of having two or three drinks during the day and a glass of wine or two with dinner without having to worry about the cost.

I totally agree. Our bar bill would never reach $900, but it would definitely exceed $250, which makes the package worthwhile for us.

To each their own :)
