Breaking News - C&A Changes/Enhancements

We boarded Rhapsody today in Venice. I am Diamond Plus (only second cruise at that level). First thing I did was head up to the CL. My card worked fine and Diamond +' are welcome in there.

 

However, the 3 drinks on our card during Happy Hour rules have changed. In the past we were able to have a small bottle of still water or unopened can of soda 'To Go'. That is no longer possible. Cans must be opened and no bottled water is possible. :(.

 

There is no mention yet of a C&A event of any kind.

Neither do any CC people who turned up for our informal get together at 3.00 pm have invites yet for a M&M.

Meal with an Officer for Pinnacles - lunch in Giovanni's day 6 at noon.

 

VOOM supposedly installed, but I have been knocked off twice in last 20 min.

Diamonds receive a $19.99 coupon for one 24 hour continuous Internet day.

Diamond+ receive a $39.98 coupon for one 24 hour continuous Internet day.

 

D+ can no longer purchase the Internet package for free on day 4. I just purchased the 5 day Internet and it cost me $24.98 - use to cost $20.

 

Surf only for one day is $19.99, but only gives me the option to purchase the surf and stream option at $27.98 per day.

 

No Welcome Back Party, but this has been gone since at least Dec.

1 Top Tier Party for Platinum and above. And have just been informed we will receive our Milestone Block at Top Tier Party!

IME, they rarely were willing to give a bottle of water. But I was always able to get a can of soda. (others sometimes were not)

 

And the M&M invite should have been in your cabin at embarkation. Better go to the LA or GS NOW, before it happens without you!

golfpccc... Internet question. The D+ coupon is for $39.38 and only covers a single 24 hour period? Previously it was a 48 hour period. So essentially they are knocking off an entire 24 hours? Surf only is $19.99? This does not even make sense.:confused: Sorry but I cant seem to figure this out.

 

Also the cruise planner is showing a pre cruise price of $9.99 per day. Might it be a good idea to just purchase that?

It looks like the coupons don't match the new prices. $19.99/day vs. a coupon for 39.98/day? Or is the $19.99/day part of a full cruise access?

There's plenty of officers...The Provisions manager is an officer (had him on Jewel last month), the crew trainer is an officer (had her on Quantum). So don't think the officer pool is just the senior officers or the ones who are visible around the ship. If they got a stripe, they'll host a table.
