Rare Vict0riann Posted May 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2016 What a nice surprise!:) I will try to be here. Do you think she will look any different after her facelift? We'll be on her in October, so I'm just hoping that someone will tell us all about any changes.

Happily@Sea Posted May 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) I'm here in Fort Lauderdale, not much activity but the breeze is nice. I understand the Lido is being refurbished, but since this is my first cruise on the Elegant Explorer, I won't know what the differences are. :D I wish you all could see us sailaway, but I know it'll be hard to miss the last one of the season and especially in the dark. This is one thing - that I will stay up for. :D Edited May 16, 2016 by Happily@Sea

KirkNC Posted May 16, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Any idea what time she might leave Freeport? She is still there right now. I think it's 5-6 hours sailing time so I guess it could be after midnight. Assuming the Internet cooperates, I will post pictures of the new Lido. SJSULIBRARIAN Posted May 16, 2016 #15 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Thanks for the reminder! And thanks for all the other reminders over the months. We really appreciate the work you've put in to make the sail aways such a success for all of us. :) I also second the above and appreciate the work you put into make these sail aways so much fun. I might make this one since 11PM is 8PM my time - if I can only remember to return here. I confess I never looked at the funnel of the Veendam last week to see if the new logo was on it since she came out of drydock a couple of months ago. Oh, well. Rare Vict0riann Posted May 16, 2016 #16 Share Posted May 16, 2016 I noticed on Mumsysailor's thread that there were new glasses for the liqueurs - the ones they let you keep - but they still had the old logo on them.

rkacruiser Posted May 17, 2016 #23 Share Posted May 17, 2016 A sailing time of 2300; Hmmmm. Will I be awake at that time tomorrow? The time has been duly noted and I will try to bid Prinsendam a bon voyage for a good European Summer Season! I am anxious to learn from those aboard who are experienced Prinsendam cruisers what modifications have been made.
