Blackduck59 Posted April 22, 2022 #7109 Share Posted April 22, 2022 I think I would rather eat the pie, add some lettuce and tomato into the bun and that BLT makes a lovely side for the pie.

Docker123 Posted April 23, 2022 #7114 Share Posted April 23, 2022 These Frankenstein foods reminds me of the Luther burger. I learnt about it watching a show explaining why Luther Vandross died of diabetes and cardiac disease in his mid50s. Apparently it has become a thing. Burger meat between layers of donuts. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted April 23, 2022 #7115 Share Posted April 23, 2022 I'd decided to make chicken and mushroom crepes for dinner last night but the crepes were a disaster. Luckily I had some pastry in the freezer so all was not lost.

I'm not sure what the connection is. I haven't had gooseberries in years. The last time was when we had lunch at my brother's in Dunedin one time but I can't remember which trip it was. He has a few bushes in his backyard and had bottled some of the fruit which we had for dessert. When I was a kid my dad use to grow them. I would sneak down the garden and eat the ripe berries straight off the bush, much to his annoyance.
