so when the cruise is canceled , where are the cruise ship? Just sitting for a week or shorter?

the ship isn't empty, the prior cruisers may still be on...they get an extended vacation if the ship can't make it back to port. If they come back early, disembark passengers, and have canceled the next sailing, they head out to sea. The safest place for a ship is out at sea, not alongside a pier

Majesty and Enchantment are coming in early, letting passengers off and have their next cruises cancelled. Empress is also cancelled for their next cruise. At least two of those ships will be without passengers, though one post says B2Bers are allowed to stay.

Royal Caribbean is offering complimentary rooms onboard the Enchantment Of The Seas to any of its South Florida employees who need a safe place during the storm. Employees may request up to two staterooms (eight passengers total).

That's really decent of them actually.

does your unlimited drink pack and internet still work or must you buy it again for the extended days

Good question!

The ships like Oasis and Harmony that are giving the passengers an extended cruise are offering the deluxe package and individually purchased drinks at half price.

If you have bought the ultimate dining package, that is being extended without additional charge.

The passengers are not being charged for the gratuities for the extra days. I would pay them anyway, but that's my choice.

Internet can be purchased for 50% off, too, and free 30 minute blocks are being provided.

Interesting pictures on Portfever today. CCL Liberty just sailed from PC with destination reading "Evac to Safe Area". EN, sailing to "Safe Waters", is in Miami with NCL Escape and MJ in PC with DCL Fantasy, most likely to sail soon with similar destinations.

At what point do these ships having "extended itineraries" start running low on supplies? Food, drinks, other supplies?

When Harvey delayed Liberty's return to Galveston, the management on the ship said they had 10 days of provisions on board. They went to Miami and re-provisioned.

In the same , do they charge you for the extra days? I would think not for both. Their insurance would probably pay for it all. They won't lose any money. The staff will have a little rest .

Ok, interesting information. I could stand to be stuck on a cruise ship some extra days. Would not mind that at all.

So any clue where that ship will go?? Will they stay in port with the employees?? Or take off away from the storm??
