Are there any ships that have 100% smoke free casinos ?

Celebrity all the time, and some Royal ships/itineraries (someone will come along and elaborate).

All Oceania ships are smoke free except for a glass enclosed room near the Horizons Bar and an outdoor space at a single far corner of the pool deck. So, Casinos are totally without any kind of regular or electronic tobacco.

All ships I’ve been on out of Australia have had no smoking in casinos.

Any British managed ship- Cunard, P&O etc abides by the European law of no indoor smoking at all, although I believe that QM2 has a cigar room. I think this should be the same with any EU managed ship, but don't have the facts.

From Holland America's Know Before You Go Smoking Policy section:

Oosterdam and Eurodam casinos are completely non-smoking. Noordam Casino is completely non-smoking, with the exception of two nights per cruise.

 

I have also read reports that the recently refurbished Nieuw Amsterdam has a smoke free casino now. Seems HAL is heading in the prevailing direction of going smoke free slowly.

I have also read reports that the recently refurbished Nieuw Amsterdam has a smoke free casino now. Seems HAL is heading in the prevailing direction of going smoke free slowly.

 

They were also the slowest to ban smoking in staterooms (Jan 2012) and even later on balconies (Jan 2107). Must be the older demographic that they seem to have.

 

In comparison, Celebrity was one of the first to ban smoking in staterooms (Jan 2008) and on balconies (Oct 2008), followed quickly with bans on all inside smoking, including the casinos.

I recall from one of the on board lectures contrasting the original Queen Mary with today's QM2 something like " Today on the QM2 there are only two spaces permitting smoking [Churchill's & the 'Pig and Whistle' - the crew's pub on deck 1]. On the original there were only two spaces where smoking was prohibited [Operating Theater & Chapel]"

But just fyi, the Noordam is due a big dry dock. Maybe after that, like the NA, she will be smoke free in all indoor areas. :)

Regent is another that bans smoking from all inside areas except an enclosed connoisseurs club , on all except Navigator, which got rid of this.
