Bad Behavior in the Diamond Lounge

Last week on Majesty, they checked cards for maybe 5 minutes night 1, and not ever again. I lost count of how many non D/D+/P were up there. Some servers kicked some of them out, but other times, they stayed. It was annoying and I got tired of pointing it out to the LA and various other supervisor types who were around. Heck, people were up there in swim attire and cover ups.

And then there were 2 people in bathing suits and sarongs who tried to get into the MDR for dinner. The hostess politely told them to get lost.

Airbusdrvr and Mistral Wind- Thats the exact problem in this world today, everybody is budding in everybody's business and I am proud to be whatever this number 2 is because I am not a trouble maker causing problems and if it were me on that cruise I have a great time than focus on stupidity and nonsense and neverless, create a post about this after the cruise. Number 1= complaint department & Number 2= Not a trouble maker. Sorry, but again, how does the OP know he didn't belong in there?

As for acting and Hazence- How do you really know whether that person didn't belong in diamond club?!

What would you do as a Nr. 1 or 2?

Norovirus was on a cruise before ours. Before boarding, a letter was given out to all preboarding passengers to inform them of the ship being cleaned and not to handle any food as they would be served by the crew.

We board the ship, in the buffet line and the fellow in front of me picks up rolls/bread with his hands, looks at it, them puts it back in the bowl.

I was very nice and asked him if he received the letter prior to boarding and his answer was.

What does that have to do with you? Do you work on this ship? Mind your own business.

Well, to make a long story short. By chance our cabins were on the same deck. Days later he saw the wife and said. I must apologize to your husband. I was totally embarrassed when he talked to me in the buffet line about handling food. I should have listened as my wife has been quarantined in our cabin the past 2 days because of the Norovirus.

Another example, they say do not fill up your drink bottles from the juice/water dispenser directly. Saw this guy doing so with 3 bottles. Asked him if he could read the sign on the dispenser. His comment was the same as the other guy. Mind your own business.

This is my business and also all of ours. Lets protect not only ourselves, but our fellow passengers and their benefits. The crew/staff can not patrol the entire ship and every passenger. If something is deter-metal to the ship populous and you see it. Try to help correct the problem in a proper manner. You are not a 'TROUBLE MAKER' and YES, IT IS YOUR BUSINESS as it affects your cruise and fellow passengers safety. YOUR ARE NOT 'everybody is budding in everybody's business.' You must use common sense. That is the problem today. We fail to get involved when we should. JMHO!!

As for posting this after a cruise. Why not???? That is what this forum is about. Everything is not roses. Like they say in Jamaica 'POO POO happens man.' These are experiences that occur on a cruise and in everyday life.

The question was not whether the person belong there or not. The subject was the persons actions, appearance, and lack of consideration for his fellow passengers.

Why is it when someone posts something that is wrong, that person becomes a complainer? Hello!!

We are sailing on Majesty in a few weeks. Several of us are Diamond and one couple is not. Can they join us but pay for their drinks ?

Are they in a cabin with a Diamond or above member?

If not, ask the DL person and see what they say.

That is why they started issuing 3 coups on each Diamond and above Cruise Card to be used in other lounges during the Happy Hours (5 - 8:30PM.)

This was on Majesty, there is no concierge or Diamond Lounge. Part of the VCL is roped off every night for a Diamond Event.

That was established couple of pages back. The real point is, if the waitstaff is afraid to enforce the rules, they need someone in there that can and will. Vaping is the same as smoking onboard and has the same rules.

As for those that think it's no one else's business. That's not true as the behavior was impacting others.

BND = How do YOU know that person doesn't belong there, do you know for sure Mr. Butt?

Oh geez. First, I never said he didn't belong there now did I? And second, I'm not a Mr.

I did however say he broke several rules, which he did.

Makes absolutely no difference whether or not they are in a cabin with a Diamond member, they are still not permitted in the lounge. The bartender has no way of taking payment for drinks. Lounge is crowded enough as it is. They may join their friends in any bar and use their three free drinks there.

Sorry to disagree with you. We experienced that on the Harmony OTS last Nov 2017 and were allowed to do so. Never say never!

We were recently on Radiance and had the privilege of being D+ after several, many, several cruises meaning it has taken time and on Radiance we were allowed into the lounge for D+ and above. One night we decided to go into the D lounge and were totally interrogated by the concierge. Not only was he doing his job he was totally rude about it. Looking back on it Mr. Bathrobe guy would never have gotten in there.

I agree it is not the bar staff problem but if this is a special place for people who have earned it then where is the person in charge. That sure disappoints me. As Asctony said we did earn that right and I was thrilled when I did." How do we know that he was not rude, mean or violent. I don't think we were there so do we know.

I love the fact that I am in a D, D+ place that we can have drink and snacks and be able to meet others that have worked hard to become members. I hope I meet some of you there, but if I see bathroom guy I will leave.

Must have been a really talented guy to be able to carry 2 plates of appetizers and 4 White Russians out of the lounge, all the time vaping. Someone really should have told him no white robe after Labor Day though.
