In the morning today a CL was available and that was the only suite available for the last 3 weeks or so. I checked to see what suites/cabins were available after I received my royal up email and RCL site shows the cruise is completely sold out now. Thanks for your reply. So there is hope for me 🤞
daninwi Posted July 17, 2019 #2952 Share Posted July 17, 2019 Too many pages..... but I've just got notice of royalup bid for JS on an upcoming Majesty of the Seas trip out of FLL. Never thought it would come through... but low and behold it did. All in single occupancy under $700 for the room! I'm thinking it's a good deal. My fourth RCI cruise - besides the space and the balcony what should I look forward too? We are a family of 3 (sister's bday celebration), that all had individual Deck 5 OV rooms; the balcony looks big enough for 3 chairs - can I ask for an additional chair and invite the siblings up? It was a lark and it worked on the minimum bid.

I haven’t been in a JS on the Majesty but you can probably find a video of a JS on that ship on YouTube

I've not seen this particular error reported, so I cannot offer any suggestions, other than to try calling Crown & Anchor. Bob, I called Crown and Anchor and the response was "did I get an E-mail saying the RoyalUp program was working with that particular cruise." The agent even checked with IT. The response made no sense as the purpose of my inquiree on the web site was to inquire whether that sailing was offering RoyalUp upgrades. I suggested that Royal change the web site to be clearer. Mkripke Posted July 17, 2019 #2956 Share Posted July 17, 2019 This may have been answered somewhere here, but since I am going from a balcony to a GS 1 bedroom, do I receive any of the suite perks?

TYMAN Posted July 17, 2019 #2959 Share Posted July 17, 2019 We got a comp OV for the Majesty for two, sent it to my TA to book & add a third, got upgraded to JS for port charges only. $310 total for the three of us! Four nights.

The OV rooms started at $380 (with the taxes) for single occupancy. We didn't get them through the casino, I don't gamble enough for that. The bid I put in was $400 - the minimum and it worked!

Update sandebeach, seems it may not be possible. They don't say no, but they do say you may not get a full refund as the Key has to be cancelled 4 days prior to sailing and if the bid approval comes in 1 day before you miss out. I have asked whether it could be turned into OBC and am waiting for the reply. Hopefully that can happen. Guess I really need the bid to be successful for this scenario to even play out. Will be a learning curve for everyone I guess. See email below from RCCI: Dear Tony: Thank you for contacting the Cruise Administration Department. In regards to your below query, please be advised that we have checked in the terms and conditions of The Key purchase and unfortunately this could only be cancelled 4 days prior of the sailing to get full refund. The refund will be directed to the original form of payment in the next 5 to 7 business days after the cancellation, if you decide to cancel this after this time frame, we would not guaranty that you will be receiving full refund. Should you have further queries, do not hesitate to contact us. sandebeach Posted July 17, 2019 #2965 Share Posted July 17, 2019 Just got our acceptance emails for our August 9 Navigator sailing. Doing the 3-day cruise with family, so we had booked two junior suites through a casino offer. I bid for both of our rooms, bid $165/pp for a GS and $200/pp for the OS. Both rooms got the OS. I was able to call and get our rooms moved so that we have two OSs next to each other. I am staying on for a B2B so I asked what would be the cost to just upgrade to the OS for the 2nd leg, but they said it would be $2,000 more for the two of us. No thank you! So I am now waiting to see if our Royal Up bid will be accepted for the 2nd part of this cruise.

Half the cabins seem to be filled with casino comps. The prices are rock bottom. Sorry for the confusion; the bid was $200 / pp minimum - based on double occupancy. So as we are each traveling solo, the minimum bid I could put in was $400.
