i am not from the isle of man, i just live here.  I am from Maryland lol.  Now resident for us voting and tax purposes in Florida.

The old Carmichael is where i saw Prince.  It was quite small then.  Would have loved to see The Clash.

It was quite small then at about 10,000 seats.  I remember the metal rafters vibrated to the Clash you had to cover your ears to hear the music.  Good concert.  I think it is still there.  Although, I didn’t notice it when we were last in Chapel Hill in 2007.  I think the ladies still play volleyball there.

A Terapin going to Chapel Hill, will wonders ever cease.

I knew you had IOM in your signature forever, figured you were actually from there.  I have only met two people from the IOM in my entire life, they were on the flowrider for a transatlantic in 2009.  The husband was quite good quite quickly, figured he picked it up from his ability to ride motobikes in the IOM Time Trial.  Naturally athletic and young.  His wife hurt her knee about day 3.

I’ve never heard of Lilly Pulitzer so I googled it. Uh, oh! DH may not be too happy but I can’t wait to shop at one. There’s even a couple stores not too far from me! Thanks, Laura!

Must be a white-dog-mom thing.

I have a black Lab and have NO desire to shop there!  LOL

John, nice Camaro.  Your Pony car might be jealous. The good thing with a convertible is you can load luggage a lot easier into it. It’s the only way we can get Owen’s Hockey gear into the support vechile.

And will laser tag work for a middle aged guy with mobility and anger issues 🤔

Please let your friend know....

Age should not be a factor, I'm 58 and love paintball

Mobility might be a negative - as @booplesnoople said your can always camp and snipe.

Anger is a huge positive - Although if there are children playing, swearing might be an issue, but hey they're going to learn it somewhere.

Camaro trunk has half the space of Pistol.

Was your decision at all based on it being the same color as your awesome dog?

Pickup was white as well. Everything down here is white. Even the Q5 Express

Anyone notice my car pics are both at Pt Canaveral T1. I seem to be there a lot waiting on my lovely wife.

Mail hold was a hassle. Anyone else experience that.🤔  Apparently you need to create a USPS account.

And of course, it didn't work. I had to drive to the Post Office. They agree it's a WCCF. 😱

As far as I can tell, their IT dept must be staffed by ex RCI interns😉

Our experience hasn’t been much of a hassle to hold the mail, but then we have an account.  Our problem is when we are gone for extended periods.  They will only hold mail for 30 days, then an authorized person must pick it up.  After that, you can do another 30 day hold.

The last couple summers, we were gone for 90 days, so we had to keep repeating holds and pickups

Our Cabin

As I mentioned earlier, the prices at time of booking were crazy expensive. They have since come down considerably.😉

Plan A

I first tried to book through a group booking, but that was a bunch of BS. The TA was very sketchy, and I finally gave up.

Plan B was enacted.

Laura qualifies for a free annual cruise courtesy of Casino Royale. It's an inside cabin, but we're not picky.

The downside is I had to wait until April to book it. Got lucky and found a great cabin available both weeks.

So we paid for week 1 and Casino Royale paid for week 2.  Hopefully, Laura doesn't give it all back in the Casino.

I had a Plan C as well. We earned a free balcony cabin when we passed 1050 C&A points. We ended up using that for Harmony on my birthday this summer.

Anyway, we got a great cabin on Deck 9. It's a CP view. Never had one, but it's similar to the Promenade View cabins on Freedom, so it should be fine.

We are above CP150 and close to Dazzles, 9641. Not sure about the obstructed view symbol

I'll tell you why being close to Dazzles is fortuitous in a minute😁🍷

Hi

I noticed you mentioned having to wait until April to book the casino Prime cruise.  You can actually book a cruise in advance to get the cabin/sailing you want.  Then in April when the prime cruises are available they can apply the value of the inside cabin to the sailing you’ve already booked.  They do re-price it but that would be the same as if you waited until then to book it but you have the benefit of already having the cabin you want.  If you take the inside it probably wouldn’t be any difference price wise (since it’s free) but if you booked a different cabin category and were applying the prime inside value, the reprice could make a difference.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind for next year

I noticed all the T1 pictures.

We hold our mail every time we go south and it has never been a problem. Do it on line in about 1 minute.

After reading the posts above, I went to look at the website where I've always gone to hold our mail.  We're going to be gone starting next Friday.  You now have to create an account before you can do the HOLD online.  Thanks for the heads up John.  I would have been sitting there Thursday night wondering "Now what??"

Pretty much all packed. Dropped Bell off, alarm for 6am. Blast off at 7am. Las Olas ETA 10am. Crown of Miami noon. Dropping bags and Laura off.

That's the plan anyway.

It's been raining all night

Evidentially USPS changed their policy in the past few months.  I just held my mail for my cruise coming up on the Harmony.  I had to set up an account.  I have never had to do this before.
