Btimmer's Almost Live to the Amazon 2019 & Beyond

We're departing on the Volendam on 20 November 2019 for the Amazon and then returning to FLL where we'll stay on board until 5 Jan 2020.  I'll be doing my Almost Live posts here with a few pictures.  A full daily post will be at https://timmerbrazilplus2019.blogspot.com.  Feel free to post questions about our cruise in this thread and I'll try to answer them.

DH and I will be along for the cruise with Btimmer!  In frantic packing mode right now.  We booked when it was the Prinsendam and we have been waiting 18 months to return to the Amazon.  Just a heads up to anyone thinking about next year:  prices plummeted in the final weeks as HAL worked to fill many empty cabins.  Many got unbelievable last minute deals!

We took a red-eye flight to FLL and are at the Ramada For the night.  See my blog for more details and pics.  In the meantime, here's a small blue heron from today.
