My cruise isn't listed but my TA was able to apply the add-ons.

Could you share the date of your sailing?  My cruise sails on 3/28/2020 but was not included on the list so my TA (the one many are talking about and does  provide excellent service) was not able to get it for me.

Well I just happened to be the first one to stumble on this, no doubt if I hadn't someone else would have done it soon after!  And who knew they would roll out a brand spanking new approach to cruise pricing, which sadly won't work for me after all since I have the casino discount.  😥

I just used it with the casino discount ... it was on new booking if that was to be your next question.

Actually, we had booked the cruise tour that includes this cruise.

I've found the princess website is very inconsistent.  Most cruise that include these promotions have abanner.  Some do not.  Some you have to click through to the pricing page to find that the promo are included.   My TA was able to include these as an add-on to our booking.

Yes, others have gotten it with a new booking.  I tried to get the amenity package added to existing bookings that had a casino discount and like others have reported, it is a no go.

I've already said in another post that this stance makes no sense whatsoever.  With a casino discount, they are essentially discounting the upsell cost when it's baked into the price of the cruise that is booked under this sale.  Yet they aren't allowing us to even add the amenity package to a casino-discounted fare on an existing booking.  They could have just treated this like a cabin upsell and simply charged 100% of the amenity upsell cost.  I would have been fine with that and no doubt others would have been okay paying the actual cost.  But to simply say no is just plain wrong.

Oh, that's too bad.  The two sailings that my TA is looking into by adding these amenities are both under our casino discount ... so, that might explain why she is taking so long to get back to me.  Well, it really isn't all that long, I am just being impatient!!  hahaha!

I'm going to give her until tomorrow before I bug her again.  I just gave her the head's up based on this thread what I wanted from her.  Either way, I got very good deals on the sailings I currently have booked and just booked a new one under this promotion.

I probably shouldn't drink that much anyway ....  hahaha!

Where this promo fails (in my opinion) is that there is no option for opt out of beverage package when 3rd/4th guests are kids (as in my client's case).

from the sale FAQ:

Do all guests in the cabin need to have the same offer?
A: Guests 1 and 2 must have the same offer. If the first and second guest have Best. Sale. Ever., it will apply to guest 3 and 4 by default. Guests 3 and 4 can opt out of this package by calling Princess to have it removed.

Thank you for the info.  Your cruise is well beyond the 3/26/2020 date. Mine is only 2 days after that date so probably didn't make the cut-off of the "select" cruises.  I'm glad you were able to get it though!  We don't drink a lot but for the drinks and wifi package, it would have been worth it.

Well if you hear something different, please let me know!  Several of us would be happy to hear a workaround.  And I hear you about not drinking so much but stuff like this drives us to drink!  LOL

Best wishes.

We were able to add these drink package and gratuities for the 14 day cruise for $840.  The grats for a suit would be $460 so we got the drink package for $380.  That corresponds to our normal beverage consumption of around $350 for seven day cruise.  We had no promos on our original booking.  I asked the TA when we booked and she said to be patient there would be some good promos coming.  Looks like she was right.

We booked our cruise under "the All Aboard" sale, I don't see that listed under any of the add-on sales category. Anybody have info?

I think the list of sales and codes are just recommendations.  You should contact your TA or Princess if you booked direct and tell them the code of the amenity package you want to purchase.  Hopefully it should work since they are marketing this as if it applies to all previously booked cruises, but as we've found they have been a little less than transparent about situations that this doesn't apply in!

Presumably, this applies to the add-on too?

Thanks - I posted this earlier after I found out about the work around

I certainly will!!  And I hear you loud and clear.  I was really the most excited about getting the beverage package and grats on my sailing that I booked under the Anniversary sale and also love those perks that I received.  Since I am doing a B2B with the subsequent leg of that sailing and I have the Sip and Sail on that one, I can just ask for my second mini bar set up early.  You never know, they might show some compassion.

+ sodas, water, specialty coffee/teas.  I think it's a pretty solid deal, but yah it really is customer dependent.

I called Princess direct and had them do the comparatives.

For my 2021 cruise, refaring would have been $20 less than just tacking on the Add-on.  For that, I did the addon, super grateful to keep the OBC since I expected to refare and lose it.

Yeah, if it were close I'd be happy also! The nice OBC of the Anniversary + Cyber (NYC fare) I have now is nice, that's for sure, and will cover gratuities anyway. But even with the teas and sodas and coffees and the occasional alcoholic drinks, I'd be hard pressed to justify adding those for an additional $300 for the ten days. So I'm going to make a few calls tomorrow about re-faring. Heck, I may just cancel that cruise (Jan 2021, Mexico), and look at another Princess cruise on another date, to perhaps a different area. I've got options.

Checked our B2B2B next November/December for Australia/New Zealand. We already have the Sip and Sail and Gratuities plus OBC from the TA.  The pricing for this sale would cost us $528 more for the 3 cruises and we would, of course, lose the extra $950 (AUD) OBC from the TA. The total "loss" would be $1,478. All we would "gain" would be the Internet package and we will just use our 650 minutes each instead. While this obviously won't work for our booked cruises it seem it will be great for a lot of other folks. I didn't think this would benefit us but I appreciate the heads up so I could at least check to be sure. I would have absolutely LOVED this offer if it had been earlier and I could have had it for the two cruises we just finished.

Why would you lose the extra $950 (AUD) from the TA?  I would not think the addition of extras would reduce the TA’s benefits.

Thanks.

Because there is no add-on that I don't already have except for the Internet portion and it's not offered separately so I'd have to rebook in order to get the promo.

Our cabin category (suite) is sold out for our Panama Canal cruise in 2021. The Princess rep I spoke with today said in these cases (when your cabin category is sold out), they simply "sell" the perks to you. We got wifi, gratuities, and the beverage package for $40 pp/day. Plus we keep the OBC we got as a perk when we first booked.

Great! I must have missed it as I skimmed thru the posts!  This is a wild thread!

Ironically, Princess are touting the simplicity of this promo and stressing that they have kept it uncomplicated. Ha Ha!
