Any positives on the Bliss

I sailed the Bliss with a very experienced cruiser (60 plus cruises over several cruiselines).  She said it was the best cruise she has ever been on.  She and her husband are joining us on an another Bliss cruise this May.  My wife and I absolutely loved the Bliss.  We have only been on 12 cruises but it is by far our favorite ship.  I can't vouch for spring break but I will say for us the food, entertainment, bars, staff, casino and most of all the Observation Lounge made it a great cruise.

Don’t be too concerned, the Bliss is a great ship. Observation Lounge is spectacular. It has Spice H20, District Brew House and great restaurants like Los Lobos and Le Bistro. Jersey Boys is absolutely first class. If you don’t have a great time it’s your fault not the ship’s.

I liked the Bliss so much in April last year that I booked her again for October of last year - yes, 2 cruises in 6 months.  Both were great, some great areas .  Yes, some things could be done differently to make things better but overall it's a great ship.

Keep in mind - more often than not someone is going to write a bad review because they have a gripe while people that were very happy are less likely to write a review.

I haven't been on the Bliss and probably won't because of the size but I wouldn't ever discount it because of the reviews.  One of the best cruises I ever took was on the badly reviewed Epic a few years ago.  If you are with people you enjoy, doing things you love, on a beautiful ship, how can you go wrong?!

Bliss is amazing. My husband, our daughter and myself have all cruised about 10 times and both of our parents have cruised at least 20 times. All of us agree it was the best cruise and best ship we have been on it! Definitely love the Bliss. Our daughter is 5 and she never wanted to leave Splash Academy!

First review on the list is a complaint that their upgrade bid was accepted and they were moved to under the pool deck.  Second reviews complaint was that it was too windy for a couple of days so they couldn't use the balcony as much.  Those are about par for the course with the reviews section on CC.

The worst reviews I’ve ever seen for a newer ship but it’s my only option for spring break with my son at last minute.  Looking forward to any Hope it will be a decent cruise

Just because it is on the internet, doesn't make it true.

We cruise 5-6 times a year splitting our time between NCL and Royal. We have sailed on the Bliss and she is an amazing ship. Compared to the Breakaway, Getaway, and Escape, NCL elected to remove 1/3 of the rooms on Deck 15 and create a luxury lounge space called the Observation Lounge. WHAT???? Take revenue generating rooms and suites and turn it into public space,,,, unheard of.

The ship has the latest restaurants and bars. Built for Alaska, it has heated outside areas, pools, and water features for the cold northeast.

It is not your "only option for spring break with your son", it is the "best option".

Have a great cruise!

Tell us what specifically in those reviews concern you.  That will make it easier to either confirm your fears or set you mind at ease.

Just got off the Bliss; it was not an enjoyable cruise. Way too many people for too small spaces. Entertainment every night in the atrium is fun, but don't expect to be able to get a seat. Same with the Beatles Experience. Food was mediocre except in the specialty restaurants, and service was poor in Savor/Taste/Manhattan Room. Passengers were rude, and the elevator situation? Let's just say that's where the rudeness really becomes evident. The best part of the cruise was "The Jersey Boys" and the aforementioned "Beatles Experience". They need to figure out a way to enlarge the Cavern Club so that more than 70 people can enjoy that show. Lesson learned: stick with the smaller ships that can handle the number of passengers on board.

When researching ships for a cruise I look for consistent complains or praises. One of two complaints is meaningless and only reflects the opinion of one individual.

Sometimes a consistent complaint or praise is about something that I don't care about one way or the other like the casinos. I go to relax and see the ocean going by, not to be cooped up in a casino with not windows. I can do that at home without paying for a cruise.

The only thing I miss about the review page is that you can no longer 'click' on the number of reviews of a member and see if they always love or hate every cruise so I can decide whether they may or may not be biased.

Read as many of the reviews as possible to make an informed decision.

One of the concepts surrounding this venue is to have the same feel as the pub in which the Beatles first performed.  Enlarging it would detract from that feel if not done right, but there really doesn't seem to be any space to make that change anyway.

Did the Beatles tribute band not play in the main theater one night?

Pretty dirt cheap prices next month out of NY on the Bliss, even saw solo specials for a balcony, half of the money for a studio.

Dumping cabins last minute 🤔 🤫 😜Why not, it's a steal, combine that with CruiseNext Double Up promotion.

Isn't the point of the Cavern Club that it's a re-creation of the actual one in Liverpool? Like you can't enlarge something that shouldn't be enlarged.

They actually played in the main theater two nights (it was a 14-night cruise), and played to packed crowds. The problem is, the dailies emphasized the Beatles show every night that they played in the Cavern, which set up a lot of people for disappointment when they showed up 30 minutes in advance and were turned away. It was messy and there were a lot of angry people. I get what you are saying about the club, but if you are going to limit to such a small group don't emphasize it in your dailies and in the announcements from the cruise director all afternoon.

As mentioned above, then don't promote the shows for all they are worth. The crowds standing outside the door being told they couldn't get in were understandably pissed. It also didn't help that some woman singer did a Beatles tribute one night and it was in the atrium.

My impression is that there are many negative reviews on Facebook.  Maybe it is easier for some to post there.

We've been on the Bliss three times, most recently in April 2019.  The Jersey Boys was the best we'd seen it and we saw Britain's Finest every night.  We met some ladies who had a 10-year-old grandson with them and he was really enjoying himself.

We've never cruised with kids so I can't offer anything from that perspective but the Bliss is a beautiful ship with a relaxing vibe that can truly keep you occupied and entertained for a week.
