The ham sandwich comment was a bit tongue in cheek, we will have breakfast before we leave Ashford for the tunnel, and will have a few snacks with us, we will eat when we get Honfleur where we are staying overnight and gives a chance to look around somewhere I have wanted to go. We will travel to our home for 2 weeks the following day, the people we are renting from are getting us some essentials as it’s a Sunday when we arrive and no shops open.

I think we need an annual check in for those have simply vanished either by choice or for other reasons.

 

I miss Harry, its been a long time since he posted and also folks like Andrew (Britboys).

 

Wowz disappeared, though it’s been reported that he posts elsewhere.

 

There are many more I have known for years who just fade away.

 

@jeanlyon  and @daiB you will remember some of the old faithful's  like the monocled mutineer (Derek).

About 4/5 years ago I noticed a similar things...folks just " disappeared" so I started a thread with the names of missing peeps in the title...pleased to say that some did respond...

We have had a rough night with the high winds howling around the house and heavy rain but it has started to clear now. I braved the wind to go and put one of the bins upright and to collect papers  off the back garden where the paper box had blown over and it's lid had blown round the corner onto the side garden.  DH's job this morning will  be cleaning up the twigs and leaves.

I hope you have all survived the bad weather without damage to your property.

Our captain gave all of us little crocheted things with positive thoughts on them last night because she knew that we were going to have a hard game.

I remember the monocled mutineer wasn’t he the one who said he had bow ties in different colours and always wore them. Wasent that on the old p&o site.

The winds were not too bad around here ,the wheelie bins stayed where we 

had put them out on the street ready for collection this morning .

The windchimes outside our back door were giving value for money .

Some would say ,a pretty sound investment 🙃😉

 

Just as the winds are calming ,I saw this which made me think of some of 

our posters who are not having it easy at the moment .
