We have heavy snow here and it is forecast to fall till about 11ish. I will miss the highlight of the week; putting the bin out.

Taking the bins out actually involves a trip in the van for us so definitely a highlight!

It is very wet outside with sleety snow coming down.

There is a thin covering of snow on the ground.

I'm about to have my breakfast porridge while watching TV.

Pauline is hard at work downstairs so I will ring a couple of customers after breakfast.

There is an interesting article in todays paper about an ONS report, that suggest the way we calculate activity in our public sector is far more precise than most other countries.  As a result if we apply the looser method to our GDP data then the UK performance during the pandemic shows only a reduction of 3.4% against the officially reported 8.6% reduction. This actually puts us mid table in the G7, and slightly better than Germany.

The old adage of "lies, damn lies and statistics", seems to be true once again, I wonder if the way we measure covid deaths might also be skewing our data?

No snow here today but raining. Son and daughter both live in Halifax, taken son two and half hours to get to work far side Hudds that would usually take him half an hour

Just spoken to my Daughter in Law, the hospital rang to cancel, lots of staff can't get to work

Pleased they are not going, would have suggested they stayed home anyway.
