Graham I’m pleased things are going k for you today, eye looks sore though , hope it heals well 😉

You all talking about Escargots have made me feel sick 🤢I think I tried them once in Germany my friend gave me one , probably wasn’t cooked right but I think I would like to try them again but the thought of snails puts me off 🐌

So pleased your op is over now Graham, hope you’re recovering well today.

Thank you Sue.

At the moment I can see out of the top half of the eye and the bottom half looks like I'm under water.

Fortunately I have not had to take any paracetamol.

Graham.

Hi just checking in tonight.

So glad your op went ok.

I remember having a HUGE arrow above my eye to make sure they did the right one !!!!! My op was in 2015 and am glad to say that it worked perfectly and have "A beautiful bleb" apparently. Now not everyone can say that !!!

Take care over the coming days and that it all heals well 🙂 🙂 x

Thanks Presto for your concern and best wishes.

Graham.

Thank you it doesn't feel sore fortunately just feels like half of my eye is under water and the water moves when I move my head.

I have 2 different eye drops to put in for a month and an antibiotic drop to put in for 2 weeks.

I find the snails are tasteless but love the garlic butter and dip my bread into the garlic butter.

Love escargots, but the comments on the Waitrose ones are not too good.

A very simple recipe which DH (who is fussy) enjoyed, probably too easy for most of you.  Pasta (I used penne) double cream with a lot of grated strong cheddar in, just heated up and becomes quite thick, and cooked smoked bacon cut into bits added.  Poured over the pasta, tasty though I says it myself.

With a glass or two of Australian shiraz to help it down.

Ditto the huge arrow when I had my IOL implants.

Glad your operation was a success Graham.

So true --- I was in shock when I was told I had an eye condition -- it made me realise just how much we all depend on our eye sight and how precious every wonderful sunset, and picture and every view from a cruise ship really is.

Had never ever thought I would be at risk and took it for granted ...

When I was diagnosed with high blood pressure the Dr told me about how that can do all sorts of damage go you, including eyesight.  I was totally unaware of that (and the others!).

I had two eye laser procedures last year as I had Angle closure Glaucoma, even though it was a success  , meaning it will stop me going blind later when I’m old it has left me with white lines at my bottom of vision when watching tv or any bright lights it was still worth it to stop me going blind later , so your vision is very precious and I can live my white lines

Quite agree , just had a eye test last week because I was having very bad headaches but mostly in one eye ball and eye twitching for a month and then my face under my eye started to feel  numb and tingling, turned out that I had a bleed at the back of my eye and he said high blood pressure can cause all of this and diabetes

I use mascapone cheese instead of cream. Lovely stirred into wilted spinach, .seasoned are tossed together with fusilli. The simplest dishes are the best sometimes.

I hope you feel better soon and they have adjusted your medication if necessary

I was lasered years ago too. Fortunately I returned every year for check ups but had an acute glaucoma attack during one particular examination. The Surgeon had me whisked off to his mate who specialised in glaucoma, for holes to be lasered in to relieve the eyeball pressures. This controlled the glaucoma for a few years but it was inevitable that IOL’s would be required. I can’t thank those surgeons enough, and the bonus is no glasses are required.

Had I never had the laser treatment I dread to think what damage the glaucoma could have done unnoticed by me until too late!

I used to get pain in my eyeball when I had a tooth infection.

I’m fine graham I was waking up in the mornings with bad headaches after sleeping quite well and I wasn’t spending too much time on my iPad at night while in bed , it helps me to get to sleep quicker than watching tv in bed , I know bad habit 😂  but the headaches were lasting all day for 3 days at a time but a lot of eye twitching, I actually googled it and it can be a sign of a stroke in ladies, but the numbness in my nose and check had me worried, I have noticed my eye lid has dropped a little so went straight to spec savers on Saturday and the gave me a eye test straight away and had a look behind my eye which showed the bleed , pick up my new glasses Tuesday and awaiting for doctors call , headaches have stopped a little but still there .

I hope your operation is a success
