I just received the text that my May 9 Bermuda sailing is cancelled.   I also had an email. I followed the online prompt to get a credit to charge rather than OBC.  

I have travel insurance I booked on my own.  Is that money lost or is it refundable since cruise is canceled?

Yep: I just got it. My 5/21 cruise is included because of Canada's port restriction.  They gave option of 125% FCC or full refund.

 

Alaska suspended until 7/1/2020.

Just received this for cruise out of Dublin on May 8

We have just had our email from Celebrity - our May 9th Silhouette cruise to the fjords is cancelled.

 

125% FCC or 100% refund.  We will likely go with the former and apply it to the cruise we are booked for in late August.  (Alternately we can cash out any time up to end of 2021).

 

Disappointing, but entirely what we predicted.  And the right and responsible thing for them to do.  Fortunately we had no flights to worry about, and losing cost of a hotel night is small potatoes.  Better safe than sick.  So much in my diary through to August has been cancelled or has changed, so this came as no surprise (would have been surprised if it had gone ahead really, given how things are developing).

I’ve just received an email from Celebrity informing me of the cancellation of our Alaskan Cruise in May. I booked via TA in UK, do I need to contact the TA to initiate a refund or do I do it through the Celebrity website? 
Any UK members able to advise please?

If the total amount you paid is $2000, not quite. The port fees and taxes I believe are paid back to your original method of payment (credit card etc) within 7 days according to X. The cruise fare is then what attracts the 100% or 125% depending on which you choose. 
I see that the list of suspensions has been updated and a new list of Q&A given.

Where did you see the 125% refund of cancelled excursions?

I cancelled my excursions on 10.03.20, but so far the money has not been credited back to my Credit Card. Today was the 10 th working day and the email said that money will be refunded in 5-10 working days.

If you go through the link, it asks if you booked direct or whether you are submitting the form as a a travel advisor. You will need to contact your TA to initiate the refund.

In the past Celebrity won’t talk to you if you booked via a TA, You have to contact the TA.

 My reading of it is if you're happy to take the 125% FCC you need to do nothing and they will confirm it by email voucher.. If you prefer the 100% cash refund you have to click on the link in the email.

If you decide on the FCC you can change your mind at anytime up to the expiry date of the FCC to take the money

I got the Celebrity email and will read it properly in the morning. It's quite late in the UK, but my muddled brain thinks they are offering 125%FCC valid through 2021. You can swap the FCC for a cash refund at anytime you chose( I think ). With British Airways I booked a no changes ticket. That was £3000 for 2 in premium against over £4k with changes. If they cancel I get a refund. If I cancel I get a voucher.  Not bothered if I get a voucher, but would prefer a refund. Got time to wait for their best offer. It's only money. Healthy travel is more important.

I will make contact with TA tomorrow. We contacted BA last week, tickets were non refundable but we got vouchers to use whenever, though there may be an option for refund but I may have scuppered that by cancelling. All in all I’m not too worried, as you say it’s only money, this present situation makes you question all that is most important and money certainly is not.

The Link in the CEO’s Letter, says 125% for cancelled excursions in FCC.

As I already cancelled 2 weeks ago my money should go back on to my credit card, eventually?

In normal times it would have taken approx 6 working days. It is now 10 days and so far no refund.

We lost ours but we cancelled on our own at the beginning of March.  Good luch

BA cancelled our outbound flight on the 19th April but interestingly there are still flights to book around that time, and an indirect flight on that day 🤷‍♀️.
