It was a fun event and the weather was great. afterwards, my mom came over. My original intent was to order pizza. I really didn’t want to do anything at all yesterday. nate & I both needed some down time. Turns out pizza is closed on turkey day 🤣 made an emergency trip to the grocery store at 1pm and picked up frozen pizza for myself and a turkey breast, mashed potatoes & gravy for them. It all worked out in the end but I still did way more dishes than I wanted to 🙈 I woke up this morning and went shopping for a dress to my sisters wedding. Success! The mall was also empty! Obviously I’ll be more awake than this when I actually wear it! Nice family photo. Lovely dress. Graham
Sunshine3601 Posted November 26, 2021 #38728 Share Posted November 26, 2021 I haven't ventured out to the stores today but have done a bunch of online shopping as our family exchanged Christmas Wish Lists last night during desert. I heard from a friend there were people in line at 4 am to get into stores that were going to open at 5 or 6 am. That's crazy! plus it is really blustery outside today. Went to do last round of leaves and work off all that food yesterday and my toes and ears were freezing. I was only out there for about an hour. Burrr....we didn't winterize our 2 cars that go into the garage. Hopefully we can do that Saturday or Sunday.

Looking to maybe buy one for a Christmas gift. How hot does your oven get? My SIL has the Breville Smart Oven with Element IQ . Yes, it has both top and bottom heating elements and you can set the top at high and bottom at a lower temp if you want
Rare ReneeFLL Posted November 26, 2021 #38732 Share Posted November 26, 2021 (edited) Our Black Frday shopping was picking up Mike's Tesla. I hate car buying because it always seems to take at least 3+ hours. Today we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. I couldn't believe it. Most everything was done on his phone. We went from 16 to 95mph in about 10 seconds. We were on the road so we weren't at a complete stop because there were some cars a little ways back. I think I left some of my guts in the back seat. My stomach felt a little nausea afterwards. Sorry for the shaky video. We were out in the boonies so not the smoothest road. 20211126_130629.mp4 This is the dashboard, just a computer. I think it looks odd without the typical instrument panel. This was the showroom. It was so bare and strange looking. Now time to get rid of the Rubicon. At least we will have an economical car and then my Denali. Edited November 26, 2021 by ReneeFLL

Have a smooth sails fun cruise. 2 hours ago, ReneeFLL said: When we were driving today I saw my first Sprouts Farmers Market. Are they like the typical grocery store or different? Sprouts is a smallish store, not like the large supermarkets. They have good prices on produce but sometimes their produce is not the best. Others think it's a great store. Before covid they used to have a great salad and soup bar. Baked goods are all packaged. Their no sugar added pies are tasty. I like shopping there for summer fruit; peaches, nectarines, apricots and such. Cherries were a major disappointment. Small and not firm. BonTexasNY Posted November 26, 2021 #38738 Share Posted November 26, 2021 Thanksgiving was wonderful and not as healthy as I feared! Lots of side dishes and thankfully the sweet potato casserole hadf no marshmellows. Turkey was tender and juicy. Grilled sausage, and other yummy side dishes were plentiful. Dessert was 3 pies, apple, pecan, pumpkin. First 2 were home made and so good. Apologies to Dani. I couldn't take pictures. We were sitting in the living room chatting, while the food was put out buffet style in the kitchen. My niece called us into the kitchen and by the time I had my phone out the food was already being demolished! There were 10 adults and 2 -13 year olds, my niece's twins that did the food justice! And we remembered to tell sweet stories of my dad. My sister and I especially enjoyed it.

Christmas for sure. Movie theaters are full! We have been going to the movies and Chinese restaurant for dinner for more years than I remember. That is except for last year and we won't be going to the movies this year either.

Rare Sea Dog Posted November 26, 2021 #38743 Share Posted November 26, 2021 What's up with CC? I try to post but it says I need to log in even though I'm logged in. Then if I quote the box shows up I type then below is the rest of the thread. It's really wonky. There are so many people I would like to respond to. I will keep on trying but this is frustrating. @Ozark_Kid Great looking sous vide turkey. Did you season it before hand or any other prep?

Rare A&L_Ont Posted November 26, 2021 #38745 Share Posted November 26, 2021 (edited) Just a quick photo and a few more later. We may have lost in regular season to this team, but we beat them today when it really matters. 13 to 7 was the final. We had snow, ice pellets and rain and more importantly VICTORY!!! City Champs. Our current view less than 2 hours later. Owen’s game starts at 7 with two more, Saturday and Sunday.
