Not sure this counts or not, we have only ever been to Las Vegas one time. That was a 2 hour layover between flights. We did play the slots right in the terminal while waiting for our flight. Does that count as going to Las Vegas?  🤣 Seems to have gotten that "Gotta go to Vegas " out of our system. That and AC used to be only about an hour from where we lived in NJ.

Many, many years ago we stayed in a beach house in Brigantine, NJ for a few days.  We laughed at the billboards along the highway announcing gambling would be coming to AC.  No way, we thought.

We finally decided what to do with out horrible fenced in back yard for the pups. We tried growing new grass for years without any luck. So we are putting in artificial grass that is made for pets. We did our research and talked with the experts. So starting April 24th the installers will come out and put in the new grass.

We are excited as this will be better for the dogs and us as far as tracking in dirt and mud all the time. It's been a nightmare keeping the house clean. I am amazed how real this looks and it's so nice to walk on even with bare feet. I'll post some installation pics in a couple of weeks.

@dani negreanu Dani, I have a heavy heart reading and listening to the latest news from Israel.  I can only hope and pray all of Israel stays safe.  I especially think of you, DH and your family, as I do Jack's family in Israel to stay out of harm's way.

Oh, Bonnie, we're all evening glued to the TV.

DS2 told us yesterday at the seder that they'll travel today to a long awaited by the grandsons trip to a camping site at Kibbutz Dafna (near the Lebanon border).

We said "enjoy". "take care on the roads", and see you on Saturday...

And at 3PM, the biggest amount of rockets since 2006 !!!!! was launched from Lebanon towards the north of Israel. They are safe, for the moment. Sleeping in a tent.....

They'll be cutting short their holiday and leave tomorrow instead of Saturday.

I'm pondering a sleeping pill to get me through the night...............

Nice.  They also make special lawn mowers for this type of grass...  Very fuel efficient 😁

You contributed to the well being of the city so sure, it counts!  And it's a pretty economical way to get it out of your system too.

I remember hearing about the old days when casinos' gave away free food and rooms to lure gamblers since that's where the money was. Now, something like 30% or so of a casino's profit comes from gambling with the rest coming from rooms, food, clubs and shows!  I know a few people that go to Vegas regularly for the "experience" and never set foot in the casino. I guess that would include our very own @A&L_Ont

The first casino I went to in Pennsylvania was Sands (now Wind Creek) in Bethlehem, PA.  Must've been when they first opened as they had a promotion that if you signed up for their rewards program, you got 4 free nights at their sister property,  The Venetian in Las Vegas. Somehow we also acquired 4 free nights the MGM  Grand (probably  from gambling at The Borgota in AC as it is/was part of the MGM family of casinos). So of course, we strung both together, added another night fo $79 and spent 9 nights in Vegas for $79.

@brillohead  Definitely SALTYRN.   Let us know what you decide.  Plus, when I'm over on your side of the state, I can look for you.  😄

Yep, I stayed with SALTYRN!

I also passed my drug test for the new ER job (big surprise), but the fingerprinting company cancelled my appointment for tomorrow morning.  Not sure when they're going to reschedule me... I tried calling, but the customer service rep that took my call (at the number the fingerprinting company gave me to reschedule) couldn't figure out how to make a new appointment.  Crazy!

Dani, Israel will prevail but I fear at what cost.

We're in constant communication with family in Modi'in. Total fear as you well know.

Through all of this, how is your DH's pain?

So, did you get the MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip?  I was just looking at the Apple Store, and that would be the one I would buy if my wife wouldn’t kill me after buying the Airstream and the new truck on order.

No, the M1 Max chip.  B&H had it with a $600 discount.   I did see a $600 benefit in getting the M2 chip.

Here's a pic of the description that was on the box.

We also stopped at Lisa’s favourite place, Louis Vuitton.  Thankfully we escaped unharmed. I loved the displays with the old trunks, and modern ones.

We’ve arrived at our destination for the weekend.  It’s our first time out in the RV for this season.  A chilly 50° but no too bad if it’s not windy.   I’m going to attempt to add picture.  You can see by the red where we are.  This is the St. Clair River that runs between Lake Huron and Lake Erie.   It’s pretty cool to watch the freighters go by.  Plus, we can look right across the river to our friends in Canada.
