He fell outside the place but a few wonderful people got to him quickly. He was light headed but I got him home and we treated the problem. He seems better but I am really so tired. Thanks for asking though! Ahh, so sorry to hear this. Is he staying hydrated? Eric has been instructed over the years to drink more fluids than normal due to some meds tend to dry him out, especially when doing physical labor...yardwork, long walks, etc. His pressure drop when he needs more fluids. We go through alot of Gatorade or power aide in our house. Edited April 18 by Sunshine3601

In addition to "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon", there is "Fort Apache", "Red River" and "The Searchers" that are some of my favorites, along with "True Grit", his only Oscar winning performance. I just recently watched John Wayne's "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" with Jimmy Stewart and "Stage Coach which was his breakout movie that made him a star. I had seen both before. Amazon Prime has a 1954 movie called "The High and the Mighty" in which Wayne plays a co-pilot whose passenger plane develops engine trouble over the Pacific. It's considered the granddaddy of disaster films, 20 years before the "Airport" series of disaster movies as well as "The Towering Inferno", "Poseidon Adventure", etc. and serves as a template for those movies with their all-star casts. Fun Fact: Robert Stack plays a serious role the pilot fighting his own inner demons which he would later lampoon in the "Airplane" satire spoof movies 20 years later. Liberty Valance is the best western of all time. Completely gets the myth and the truth. Hard to do.

Both movies from my childhood. Reading so many movie posts I thought of a few more- Hitchcock- Rear Window - Raymond Burr’s character was creepy, while Grace Kelly was beautiful. Also ,North by Northwest- so much suspense ! Sally Field Movies- Murphy’s Romance, Places in the Heart and Steel Magnolias. Mel Brooks- Young Frankenstein Dirty Dancing-Patrick Swayze!!! When Harry Met Sally Disney animated films- Snow White,Sleeping Beauty,Beauty and the Beast. Lots of good movies ! MJ👩🏻 I am going to agree with you Alfred picks Rear Window and North by Northwest, doesn’t get better than that as far as simple suspense movies goes. jc

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted April 18 #119562 Share Posted April 18 (edited) Good evening. Another beautiful day in Victoria. Nice views for the guests on Explora We did an early morning walk to and across the Johnson Bridge then around the Harbour edge. Us Aussies were delighted to watch the otters swimming in the water. Absolutely blessed with this weather. Had a nice lunch on the patio overlooking the harbour at Spinnakers Brewpub. Then hopped on one of the cute little harbour ferries back to The Empress Hotel. Flowers outside the hotel look pretty in the sunshine. We have Neil the (Elephant) Seal getting up to lots of mischief in a Tasmanian town. Victoria BC has Emerson the (Elephant) Seal deciding that being moved by the authorities 150km from Victoria to near Ucluelet was not appealing so he swam 30km per day for 4 days, back to his favourite beach in Victoria and we unexpectedly met him snoozing peacefully in the sun on the beach today, letting out a few snorts much to the amusement of the kids watching from above. We also visited the Bug Zoo which is around the corner from our Condo. We all found it fascinating due to the passionate staff. I’ll spare you the photos of the Tarantulas which were my favourite. Dinner was at the Sticky Wicket Pub. Post dinner we strolled down to see the Parliament Buildings lit up - which is probably the only thing cruisers see on their very short time in Victoria on many itineraries. I've been there once on a cruise port and Gary started his trans Canada bike ride from Victoria. He has a good friend who lives there and who cycled the first few days into the Rockies with him. 1

DaniDanielle Posted April 18 #119572 Share Posted April 18 @Etta1213I know how you feel about missing normal life. I know we have to accept this and learn to live with it, but it is hard. It’s the constant worrying that makes it worse. Good luck to you. @Sunshine3601He has been hydrating, no one can seem to figure out why his pressure and sugar levels fluctuate so much. I worry because he has his heart 21years now and that is very long for a transplant. We should buy shares of Gatorade! 11

My mom had issues with her bp and oxygen fluctuating and imo the doctors were no help, said she was old. Tested her heart and lungs, but never did a mri. Eventually she had a large stroke. Idk if a MRI would have caught the issues that were in her head not her heart but I still feel like they missed a important test. Not easy to get a MRI. Even after her stroke took 3 days. Our hospital at least MRI hard to schedule.

I said I wanted confirmation of what happened.. they pushed me 3 times very hard to not schedule a MRI. I had to stand firm. They said emergency had the MRI all backed up all day. I was like schedule it. Then we can discuss. I'm not going to just say oh it looks like she had a stroke. I'm still mad at myself for not knowing or doing one before her stroke. We had warnings, as I said up and down bp and oxygen levels. I'm not sure I've forgiven myself for not knowing to push for this when she had issues.
