My sister has been taking it for years as well with no issues. I’ve been prescribed several different anxiety meds and the Gabapentin was the only one that affected me like that. The others worked well. Must just be me.

I am on Gabapentin for my cervical spine issues.  I never knew that it is used as an anxiety med.  It certainly doesn't help me in that regard.🙅‍♀️

Sea day, after 3 intensive days of touring. Weather isn’t cooperating.., 2 rainy days.

Not complaining, just so so very happy to be able to have short periods of disconnect.

Those at home are living crazy days…

So happy for you, Dani!!!❤️

There might be some sun here on Sunday. Today and Saturday are looking to be rainy with the worst being along the coast and off shore.

We're expecting sun tomorrow, and I sure hope it is so!  Tomorrow is a big, sold-out HS Football game here in town, and the team will be honoring Veteran's prior to the game.  My two grandsons who are in the Marching Band, will be escorting Jim out onto the Field, along with the other Band and Football players and Cheerleaders, who will be escorting their Veteran Fathers/Grandfathers, etc. onto the Field.

I don’t believe it’s a common anxiety med but my Dr thought it might help. It’s supposed to take a few weeks for the anti-anxiety effects to really kick in but I had such an adverse reaction I stopped it after one day. Subsequent meds have been very effective for me.

Hi I always see pictures of the ropes holding the ships. Is there a rule of thumb what people want in the picture. Close up of the rope? I took some far away of icon so the ship name shows. Some close ups of adventure. What should I take in the shot that makes it a good rope picture. Icon had some kind of plastic things up higher toward the ship I took in one picture though it's not good of the ropes. But never saw the blue plastic things. I could use some pro pointers what it is people like in rope pics. Coco cay, 2 icon, 2 adventure to compare.

Any rope picture is a good rope picture, but I like your first picture the best.  A great picture for me shows the bollard in the immediate foreground with the mooring lines leading off into the distance (drawing your eye into the photo).  Bonus points if you have the ship name in the distance.  Double bonus points if you happen to be on the wrong side of the "do not cross" line on the pier. 😜

We completed our second pack of the school year so that children with food insecurities have food to take home with them over the weekend.

I may have mentioned this last year, but this is a program sponsored by our church for our local school district.  Susan and I volunteer to pack bags of food each week.

This year we started out with the highest number we have ever had for the start of a school year.  First week we packed bags for 148 students, and this week the number increased to 158.  Our daughter said that over 50% of her class is signed up for the program.

Not sure if the increase in numbers is due to the higher food costs people are dealing with, but I have to think that may contribute to it.

Sounds great. Our FB game is tonight. Right now it looks like a window of no rain during the game.

Bob what's a bollard, that you say you see, so I can get it closer next time.

So those metal things up higher on the ropes on icon are to keep grats off the ship. Is this a common problem that rats try and get up the ropes? I just see those metal things on icon ropes, didnt see them on adventure. Each icon rope had a metal thing up a ways you can kinda see in my first 2 pictures.

Well hot and muggy and sunny has returned. I was happy with cool and rainy and windy.

I have been on gabapentin for my back issues now for 10 days and unfortunately so far it does not seem to be working in any ways, no release of pain or anxiety (one or the other would have been nice).  I am scheduled for surgery on October 16

The bollards are the big yellow things on the pier (at least in your pics) to which the ropes are tied.

Edit: there's one in the lower left corner of Mark's photo above.

I did a fair amount of reading during our recent trip, mostly on those long flights.  Recently I joined a couple of book groups on that other social media site and have found some good recommendations through them.  A new to me author I discovered is S.A. Cosby. The two books I just read by him are Razorblade Tears and All The Sinners Bleed. Both are excellent mysteries.  I also just finished Grisham’s latest, The Exchange, which is a sequel to The Firm.  Sadly, this one was a real disappointment. It just dragged on and on and the ending left me 🤷🏻‍♀️
What’s everyone reading these days?

Sounds maybe heavy, but I started the study of the book of Revelation thru Bible Study Fellowship. Wow. (It's  international, interdenominational, live or on line.)

Deb, I just finished The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar and now finally started The Women by Kristin Hannah, who is one of my favorite authors!

Owen’s first game of the season was yesterday. They won 19-6, and the other team scored in the final minute of the game. It was the first time in 16 years that the senior team won a game in regular season.
