Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

The horrible wind and rain we had all night/morning has finally stopped so now I'm allowed to move cars out of garage to decorate for our family Garage Christmas tomorrow.

Santa was very good to me and the new kitties got lots of toys.   they have been non stopping playing.  Of course catnip too!!

I found a good Eggnog recipe for those interested.   I follow a few bartenders on YouTube and several mentioned a recipe from a famous bartender named Jeffrey Morganthaler.  He incorporates everything into a blender and it worked great.  Great taste and great texture.  I decided not to use Morganthaler's tequila and sherry blend and instead stayed with spiced rum.  I used the "pro" version from the below video (with the exception of using rum).  Highly recommended.

If you want to see Morganthaler talking about his own recipe, here's another video:

Cheers! 🥚🥛🥃

It calmed down some around here since this morning’s chaos. It’s still snowing, with about 10” since last night, and more to come. I had a total surprise gift, and have been playing with it throughout the day. Considering I haven’t taken music since grade 8 I think I’m doing OK.

LOL, by the time you cruise again you might find me on the pier welcoming you to the island.

I would love live entertainment like that in casino.  Maybe they will hire you if you send video.

Funeral potatoes.

Never heard of....

DH is cooking "road kill potatoes"... I assume the "funeral" comes after the "road kill"😁

I've looked at the recipe -- we'll try it -- sour cream, chicken broth -- seems like a "sure thing" with which you can't go wrong 👍

Funeral potatoes are the very best ever.  This year I decided to try Lighthouse Inn casserole and it was really good.  What's not to like with russets cooked in heavy cream.

It sure beats the snow.

Yes it does. Yes, it does.

Just took the garbage and recycling down, pick-up is tomorrow VS today. A good 12” now with a strong wind. Lucy came out for a few minutes but didn’t come all the way down the lane. More to come tonight.

Every step was calculated.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  Wet and windy in Massachusetts but at least it washed away the 15 inches of snow we got last week.  Normally we spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Dinner at my sister's house with anywhere between 15 and 20 others but not this year.  My Mom came to our house yesterday since todays weather had her too nervous to drive.  So, quiet dinner for four (DH, DS, Mom and me) yesterday and then just the three of us today.

Tomorrow MA is stepping back to stop the spread.  Indoor establishments going back to 25% capacity.  No elective medical procedures allowed due to the increasing demand for hospital space.  Outdoor gatherings reduced to 25 people and indoor to 10.  Other restrictions too but those are the highlights.

Hoping the New Year brings a vaccine for all that want it and herd immunity to all. 😄
