Looks like my Wife and I are going to need more practice on making Gingerbread House's.

You just need a little more practice with your caulking. 😀 It looks great! What a fun project. ☺️

Thanks to everyone that gave housing suggestions for my daughter moving to CA in a few weeks. There was nothing available in Palo Alto so she will be living in Mountain View. She sold, donated and sent to storage everything but her cat and some clothes. Her next step is her flight out of Chicago on Friday, if possible. Thanks again!

We lived in Mountain View (Moffett Field is right there where Mike was stationed) for about a year in 1987 before we bought up in the foothills. Back then it was a nice area and we liked it. Hopefully it hasn’t changed much. I think she will like it there.

Thanks. No problem. We have small ones several times a year. The last big one was in 1989, so we are all slightly concerned that it might be leading up to that again. The small ones (hopefully) relieve some of the pressure on the faults. Thanks for asking. ☺️

The ‘89 earthquake was awful. We were so happy go get out of there after that. Of course it helped that the Navy moved us to Key West. 😄  Hurricanes I can deal with. About how often do they have big ones in that area? Wasn’t the next big one down in the Los Angeles area or somewhere down there?

Just a quick message to wish everyone, especially the regular posters, a Very Happy New Year. Starting with @aussielozzie18, New Year in Australia in just under 2 hours, stretching across the globe 🌎 via Israel,  Europe, and finally to America .

May 2023 be everything you wish it to be, stay safe and healthy and looking forward to 'chatting' next year

I think we rushed it a little was our problem, we didn't wait long enough for the icing to set before putting the candies on. Next year we will do better :)

People were posting that the crew doesn’t get enough to eat? Now that’s funny. I have missed so much on CC.

CC is like the mainstream media.... when it's a slow news day, you have to make up something to get people riled up about!
