Did you get the $2 bag sale at Lowes?     We picked up 40 bags last weekend and then Eric picked up another 20+ bags during the week.    After we got back from our shore house earlu afternoon we pressure washed our front walkway and rear patio as well as one exterior wall and some fascia/gutters too.   Hope to finish up mulch tomorrow and plant our garden.

Loving this weather....stay hydrated😊

Tomorrow we will start mulching the areas around the

Yep - $2/bag sale however they are the 1.5 cu. ft. bags.  The spring sale in April was $2/bag but was 2 cu. ft per bag.  Little mad I didn’t get the better deal but I didn’t have time in April.

Enjoy the outdoor time! 🍻

Last night’s recital was great, but with a total of 44 numbers performed, it was a little long.   Granddaughter knew all her dances and performed well.

Costumes from her first performance.

The second

The third

And from her fourth and final

Me, I am looking at all the costumes purchased for these girls, and I am calculating how many nice cruises that would have bought.

Most of the dance groups probably had between 15 and 20, but the finale had to have more than 50.

@dani negreanuI haven’t been here  in a long time for various reasons, but had to come today to say how sorry your national nightmare is continuing and you had the sounds of rockets and air raid alarms in Tel Aviv.
It just goes on and on, big conflicts that destroy hundreds of lives at a time, and small ones that destroy families.
I had a very bad fall and fractured my femur as well as breaking off pieces of it.
my surgery was May 15, just 11 days after my granddaughter’s wedding.
I am so grateful I was able to be healthy for the wedding.
I am not allowed to put my right foot on the floor for a minimum of 3 months.
my left leg won’t hold me up,

so they’re working on strengthening it.
With not  much luck so far.
Getting me into a wheelchair requires a sling and lifting machine.
very painful.
I don’t know what my future holds, or what will happen when I leave the rehab hospital.
But I am grateful for the physical and mental safety for my family.
I hope and pray for the same in the future for the rest of the world.

Beautiful Sunday in Jervis Bay. DH started the day by seeing a kangaroo hopping down our street…Then we did a lovely morning walk through the Jervis Bay National Park passing by several gorgeous white sand beaches.  Delighted to see dolphins.  Had  a delicious late lunch in the local cafe.  From our table outdoors, I spotted a kangaroo happily munching the grass in someone’s backyard opposite. Then we had a little adventure in the Boodoree National Park heading out to see the ruined Lighthouse.  The Lighthouse ruins site is a great place to whale watch.  It’s only the beginning of the season, so we were delighted to see three humpbacks passing by.

Been there, done that, for more than 10 years.  Add in studio costs, competition costs, travel costs, etc. and it's the equivalent of several nice cruises a year.  Glad I'm done (I mean my daughter's done 😜). My daughter isn't actually done as she's now coaching part time at her old studio.  That doesn't cost me anything though.

Even though it's been a few years for me, I'm going to guess, in the order that you posted the pictures, that these routines were lyrical, ballet, jazz, and hip hop.

I'm so sorry to hear about your fall.  Hopefully, the rehab hospital will work its magic and you'll get back to a normal life, in whatever form that takes.

I've just finished posting here when the air raid alarm was sound.... again. I couldn't believe my ears and had a hard time convincing DH that it is a "real" one and we should rush to the shelter.

It doesn't end. So many casualties on both sides and, after almost 8 months of war, we're back to square one 😢

Just yesterday I was thinking about you, Mimi, and you had me worried that you didn't post anywhere for more than a month.

So very sorry about your unfortunate fall. Sincerely hope you'll be back real soon to your usual self. Glad you've at least got to enjoy your granddaughter wedding. Heartfelt congratulations and Mazal Tov 💐

Yesterday we had a drink at the Algonquin which has a resident cat called Hamlet , he is hamlet #8. Then listed to a jazz band that included my cousin he is a drummer. Then dinner at Becco’s again. Meeting one of my best friends today he married my sisters best friend some 50 years ago.

Oh Dani, what a nightmare the last 8 months have been. I can't imagine living under these conditions. Thank goodness for your countries strong defenses.

As usual sending hopes and prayers that wise heads will prevail and a peaceful solution can be worked out.

Sadly I did not take a picture as I was hurting too much to think about it. The bruises did heal up fairly fast but it looked pretty ugly.

No, she hasn’t traveled yet.  Only does the year end recital.  I do think that some of the older girls (and guys) travel.  They are very polished in their routines.

I keep telling my grandson he should take dance.  He has some good moves.

Yesterday started with a couple baseball games, but the heavy rain came before the first game was suspended.  That is where we are today.

They finished the game from yesterday (grandson’s team won 7-3).  He is getting ready for the start of the next game now. Then, another one after it, so technically three games today.
