It’s been quite a while since last cruising with Celebrity. Now looking to book a Christmas Cruise to include our 2 grand children (ages8 and 6). While a I can see plenty of info about the cost of an alcoholic beverage package, what is the situation with kids soda. Free or with a charge?
Thanks.

Hasn’t this changed with the new Always Included pricing strategy?

Good point!  I never ever drink soda so that had not even entered my mind.

While the website still shows nonalcoholic packages and water packages and soda packages for sale, I think those are only applicable if you booked prior to the initiation of the always included program, or if you book within  90 days of sailing. . New bookings from here on out, which the OP will probably be doing, would not need to buy any kind of packages because they are included in the fare.

As said sodas are included if you booked with Always Included.  Not so if an older reservation of probably not if you book writhing 90 days of sailing.

You also can bring sodas on when you board.  Taping a couple 12 packs together works great.

Again - any costs, brands or on board experience is subject to change.  The Celebrity website has a number of sections that have not been updated in well over a year.

You bring up a good point, Celebrity has not yet define always included as regards to third and fourth passengers in a state room.

The FAQ makes it clear that it applies to everyone. The only stipulation was in regard to WiFi only applying to guests 1 and 2, but bookings after Dec 9 2020 even WiFi applies to all guests.

Q. #2: What is Always Included?

A: It is our new pricing strategy, which includes three amenities (Tips, Surf Wi-Fi and Drinks, Classic Beverage Package) in your cruise fare, with the ability to upgrade amenities with the purchase of Elevate or Indulge package. All guests are eligible to receive Tips, Drinks and Surf Wi-Fi.

Q. #15: Can guests request a non-alcoholic drinks package if an individual guest does not drink alcohol or is under the legal drinking age?

A: Our beverage packages include a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options including specialty coffee, fresh squeezed juices, bottled water, sports drinks and soda. All guests can choose beverages of their choice, with or without alcohol. Guests under the legal drinking age will only be eligible for non-alcoholic beverages.

Q. #19: Will additional guests in the same stateroom receive Wi-Fi packages?

A: As of December 9, 2020 all guests in the same stateroom will receive the Wi-Fi package corresponding with their Always Included package price. Guests booked prior to December 9, will only receive two Wi-Fi log-ins per stateroom as per the original offering, however, additional Wi-Fi packages may be purchased pre-cruise via the Cruise Planner platform or once onboard.

So, a one-year old gets wi-fi? Why?

Because it's easier to say everyone? The same could be said about a one year old with soda and coffee. Just don't use it if you don't need it.

And it’s easier to say always than it is to say “except within 90 days of the cruise or when booked through Blue Chip or when traveling under certain special rate codes or for any other reasons we decide later.  Then it isn’t always.  “

Question - how does the always included beverage package, which includes soda, work on a ship with the Coca Cola freestyle machines? You have to have a cup with a chip for those to operate. I believe some of the Celebrity ships do have the freestyle machines. Do you have to pay an upcharge for the cup?

Yes, that is correct... my comment to that: unfortunately!

Bring your own, save a ridiculous amount after priding yourself to spend large amounts on a cruise AND let the crew do the work of handling it...

This is my just opinion - no need to agree or share it 😉

I assume that passengers will still be allowed to bring their own soft drinks when we start traveling again. Every drink that you bring is one less that Celebrity provides for you, and under the new program where everyone gets a drink package, Celebrity would save money if you bring your own.

hint hint, Maybe it’s time to get rid of the corkage too?
