And there's a hotel general manager?  Is this cruise considered a floating hotel?

Yes, you're exactly right.  It's a floating hotel.  The Hotel GM is actually the second most powerful person on the ship, behind only the captain.

Most, maybe all, cruise ships have a hotel manager. They run the hotel side of the operation.

Oops…..meant to say that by ou can simply ask a bartender what he’d recommend. You are not alone! They can cut the syrups back by 3/4 and still make a great drink. Approach one at a less busy time, snd pick his brains.  You will find lots of ideas

That’s the saddest part! Thank you for sharing so much!

That is exactly why we have decided that 7 day cruises are absolutely too short! However, it is sure better than zero days.

@Mary Ann 2correct no embarkation photos. And no photos getting off in port. I asked a security person when I got off and she said only security is allowed off ship. No crew.

exceeeept Captain Dino. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don’t tell anyone. Lol

there are lots of photo ops on formal and casual nights.
@PROCRUISEon the first formal night I saw well over 2 dozen women in full blown Queen Mary 2 worthy floor length gowns. Fully sequined, gorgeous satins. Just fabulous. They were escorted by equally fabulous men in tuxes. I was roaming about from around 4:30 in the elite happy hour lounge through mid ship piazza and vines until my dinner at 5:40. And then piazza again after.  Many others were dressed very nicely you could tell an effort was made.

second formal night I did not notice the same level of dressing but most still in appropriate attire especially in the MDR. Out and about not so much.

@DuncanBlizzardI can completely feel your pain on this. I believe bluefish2000 had this same issue and I’ll see her tonight at our function with Jan. I’ll see what I can find out for you. That said she and DH did board!

@jpearson50there are no children under 12. There are a fair amount of 12 and above. I do not have a count.

I saw it on the Wine List that was posted by Havedogwilltravel.

Wow!  I looked and didn't see it. I'll have to look again. It may not be a "fancy or snazzy" wine but we love it. (I have most of a case sitting here at home.) Thanks for the info!

Ketchikan port day lunch room service. Ordered at 12:30 arrived 12:50. One pizza, chicken fingers, chef salad, Caesar salad, Perrier and one glass of wine.
total charge with bev package was $3 for the pizza. Do not judge my choices lol 😂

My recommendation is to try the key lime pie on the room service menu. I was quarantined on my last cruise for three days, and it was my favorite thing to order. I also loved to order the chicken fingers and a Caesar salad and combine the two.

There are several scooters and wheelchairs, and even one service dog that I have personally seen on board using the elevators. No problems that I observed, but we also have a light crowd on this sailing and there is hardly any wait for elevators when you need them. The ramp in and out of the ship here in Ketchikan was rather steep, but there were several crew on hand to assist with just this type of thing.

THANK YOU so much!

Does anyone know if they are going to have a "Gathering of Veterans" this cruise season? On every Princess cruise I've been on they'd have a Gathering of Veterans and have a champagne toast to honor our fallen comrades who didn't make it home.

I'm on this week sailing and according to my journey view oddly enough it's not listed anywhere about veteran gatherings and I know it's always been on every Princess Cruise as my dad likes to usually attend those.

I have not seen it, no. In fact the only advertised group meetings have been LGBTQ, Solos and Singles, friends of Bill W, and 18-20s.

Please advise if the Princess have given the passengers any PCR COVID tests during this cruise?

As a Canadian, I understand that a PCR test will be given before we disembark.

Thanks for the reply. As a combat veteran I'd be really disappointed if they don't have on our upcoming cruise.
