Pardon my ignorance but what is wrong with farmed fish 🐠

The farming practises used to raise fish in fish farms. I won’t eat any farmed fish or shrimp, etc from Asia or South America. Stories of chicken coops over the fish tanks, etc. I will buy farmed fish from Norway or here in North America because there are fairly rigorous standards for raising them. Even here in North America there are issues with diseases that run rampant in fish farming communities. Wild caught always are more expensive but that is what we prefer.

Thank you for today's daily and care reports.

Alicante is nice and close to Benidorm a popular seaside resort.

It is 75°F and hot enough for us.

Today's quote was us but now we like taking it easy and sitting under our beach shelter on the beach.

Paulines late mam was a glamorous gran and her last cruise was 9 year's ago on her 90th birthday.

Thanks Rich for the Daily. Thanks everyone that takes part here. I too am looking forward to seeing you guys in Dec. Camilla is so cute. All this grandma has is four teenagers so I’m past the sweet baby kisses stage. I am looking forward to hearing about the first cruises. I see that Lisa has started her blog of the journey.

Thank you for explaining.  That's why we don't buy farmed fish too.

Good morning to all of the Daily organizers and all the loyal followers  . It is a very nice day here in SW Ontario and before I will go to do some harvesting in my gardens I would love to show some of the pictures from our day in Alicante when we were last there in April 2019 .
On one of the Prinsendam’s last cruises for HAL we landed in Alicante and I had set up a double walking tour with a very good guide first we went to Castillo de Santa Barbara  and afterwards we did some nice walking around the town itself . In our nice group there were also Jacqui and Jose @kazu
Hope I don't duplicate with @StLouisCruisers and  @Mtn2Sea

A distinct view of the Castillo from sea level , for most of the way up we used the elevator however the last few and quite steep hundreds of meters we climbed ourselves.

Good morning, all, lots to celebrate today, birthdays, babies, grandmas, Spain, Alaska cruises, food and drink!  We celebrated yesterday with hugs as DD here reached her 2 weeks after her second vaccination!  And DD in Gander should be getting her second jab today.

I'm sure we've been to Alicante, but it must have been on a driving holiday long ago - I will have a look at my "paper" photographs!   Thanks for all the current photos.

Happy Friday.  I'll tell my DGS about his gorgeous Grandma.  LOL  I love Vanilla Ice Cream the best.  And it's going to be 100 today so it's hot enough, thank you.  Will print and save the meal, it looks and sounds fantastic.  Have not been to today's port, looking forward to the photo's.  Would love to be on the Nieuw Statendam at Half Moon Cay today.  Love that place.  And today is my birthday!

Prayers and virtual hugs to our care list. Toasts🍹to our shout outs.

Please stay safe, continue to social distance, and please continue to wear your mask.

Black Russian:

The Black Russian is a cocktail of vodka and coffee liqueur. It contains two parts vodka to one part coffee liqueur, per IBA specified ingredients. Traditionally, the drink is made by pouring the vodka over ice cubes or cracked ice in an old-fashioned glass, followed by the coffee liqueur. Wikipedia
Ingredients: 1 2/3 oz (5 parts) Vodka, 2/3 oz (2 parts) Coffee liqueur
Preparation: Pour the ingredients into an old fashioned glass filled with ice cubes. Stir gently.
Served: On the rocks; poured over ice
Drinkware: Old Fashioned glass

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Daily.

Interesting days. I never knew any grandparents, sadly. Vanilla Ice Cream is ok; i prefer other flavors. It's 76 and low humidity; that's hot enough for me.

Good quote.

Another fish meal for me to pass on. I'll take Roy's meal. I prefer White Russians and red wine.

I have been to Spain on a land trip, but not Alicante. Thanks for the pictures.

Things are going pretty well. I had light sensitivity with pain yesterday, and some eye irritation this morning. But both improved after my morning drops. The tape for the shield is irritating my skin even though it's paper tape. I'm using the minimal amount now to keep it on.

@summer slope Happy Birthday!

@smitty34877 Prayers for continued progress for Miss Camilla. How exciting that she may go home! Such a sweet picture ♥️.

@StLouisCruisers Happy Birthday to your DMIL.

@grapau27 What a nice shelter to shield you from the sun.

Prayers for the care list and cheers for the celebration list.

Stay safe everyone and wear your 😷 if need be.

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday!  We had two really big storms yesterday. First one about 4:15 pm right in the middle of my nap and the second one about 11:30 pm right when I was trying to get to sleep. At least it isn’t too hot, just muggy but the back yard looks horrible. Craig is going to hose off the pool deck and patio after the pool guy comes.

Thank you for the Daily Rich and thank you for your lists Roy. I’ll take vanilla ice cream anytime, my favorite.

Craig took today off work and I want to decide about some cruise things. Also we need to buy new luggage and I have it already picked out I just need to figure out what size.  Then I’m trying to decide whether to eat at Tamarind or PG for our free specialty dinner so will have to check out menus. I’m leaning toward Tamarind because I prefer PG for lunch.  So nice to think about cruise related things!

@StLouisCruisers Happy Birthday to your DMIL! 🎂🎈 Also I really enjoyed your pictures yesterday of the Disney ship and private island. We went on a Disney cruise in 1999 for our DD high school graduation and missed the island due to weather, bummer.

Thanks to everyone who posted pictures of today’s port!  I love Spain.

Have a great day everyone!

We finished all our errands today and were home in time to phone DMIL before we ate lunch.  Her angel of a nurse, Ramona, answered the phone, then transferred the call to a portable phone and gave it to her.  They have to put it on speaker for her to hold the phone properly and talk to us, so everyone within 50 feet can hear but that's the way it is.  Not a problem.

She was awake all right, but totally confused about everything today.  She claimed she was in church, and she said sisters, and nephews and nieces were all there.  DH just agreed with her and tried to lead the conversation to her birthday, her flowers, her cards, and asked her would she get a cake today?  She said yes and by the end of the call it was going to be 3 or 4 cakes served to her.  Then she asked him what kind of cake, chocolate?  Oh my, what a wild conversation!  But I know she enjoyed it and that's all that matters.  Thanks to all who wished her well.  If she understood how many people were thinking of her today, she would love it!🎂🎈
