Not a surprise but there is no bar service in the theater. 

Ripcord and Northstar are not operating.  I was informed they will be for the start of revenue cruises.

Flowrider open for the polar bear club.

Every door you may pass through has a sign indicating mask or mask free.

If you wear long sleaves be ready to pull one up to show your band.

Enjoy Ketchikan today. First visit for Ovation as she did not stop in 2019.

And looks like not on schedule this year since I will be on board in 6 weeks. But at least Ovation gets to return to Sitka again.

We had a nice day in Ketchikan,  no rain and a little sun. The city is fairly deserted.   Several shops are closed.

There has been some tweaking of some of th protocols.  I will elabore later.

We were west of Vancouver Island both ways.  Nice smooth ride northbound.  We had a couple hours of rocking coming south and then fog most of the day.

Ovation has to sail west of Vancouver island.  It is too big for the inside passage.

meanwhile next Friday I will watch her leave on the Elliot Bay Marina cam since the Seattle Needle cam is down for service (during the sailing season )

We were on the ship's Misty Fjords boat ride shore excursion.  Our group with yellow stickers were told we could wander the town after our excursion ended.  But those with orange stickers were told to come directly back to the ship with their group - must've been the "non-vax" test group!

We could hear the fog horns thru that first night.  Pea-soup fog made for an eerie experience!

Were reservations needed for the Windjammer?  Heard on the Adventure of the Seas this was necessary, but usually no problem if didn't have a reservation.

I've never cruised Alaska but my Ovation sailing in September has the Inside Passage listed.

That's the "other" Inside Passage (between Graham/Morseby Islands and mainland).

Not sure what you mean by kind of luggage, but just about anything you check in, assuming it's not prohibited, will be delivered to your cabin.
