Good morning friends!  It was, and still is, a foggy morning here in Winter Garden (or Bay Lake as my phone weather app is calling it).  Sure wasn't expecting that!  Temp was 54F.  It will be nicer later and much warmer, I'm sure.  I didn't bring any brown sneakers to wear to the soccer fields but I have a pair of brown slippers on so I think that counts.  We get our exercise in walking from the parking lot to the soccer field and back because it's quite a distance.  Hoping for a better ending to the day today because I sure don't want to see anyone hurt with all the roughhousing.  I saw Ren hit the ground and roll more than once.  Praying for better trained and coached teams the rest of the weekend.🙏   We have a young lady player on our team and those other team players were even shoving and grabbing her!  Tsk Tsk!

@smitty34877thank you for the darling photo of smiling Camilla.  I would love to scoop her up for a cuddle!

Today's empanadas look delicious!  I salute wildlife conservation every day.  Good luck to everyone hoping to be on Santa's list and getting everything they want.

Korcula sounds like a lovely place and I would love to go there someday.  The other ports in Croatia where we've been have been A+.

Thanks for the Daily, Rich and our Saturday smile 🙂

The season must be in full swing if it’s Santa’s list day 😉 Mine is done.  I gave up on brown shoes (heels) when i retired from work although I do have a pair of brown Birk’s.  Yay for wildlife conservation every day 👍

I’m going to try to follow Emmerson’s quote’s advice.

Quick post as I have an appointment this morning, then curb side pick up & then have to take DH for his.

I’ll have to catch up at my appointment while I’m waiting assuming wifi is working 😉   And it’s a very brr-y day out there.  Ugh.

Prayers for those on the Care list & for those that need them and 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list.

Have a great Saturday everyone !!!!!

We were in Korcula Croatia in October 2017 on the Westerdam.

Pictures of sailing into the port, the town (lots of narrow streets) the Westerdam at anchor and sailing out of the port.   We enjoyed our day there walking around the town. I'm not as accomplished as Sandi, Lenda & Tony with my descriptions.

@bdrcolethank you for the photos!  It does remind me of places like Dubrovnik, and even Kotor, Montenegro.  I'd definitely like to see Korcula on my itinerary.

@kazuthe memes are outstanding today.  Indoor plumbing, indeed!  I hope all goes well at your appointments today .  Curb side pick up reminds me of dinner last night!  As we hiked our way back to the car DS and DDIL pulled out their phones and said what would you like from Olive Garden?  Then they announced a long list of entrees.  DH and I chose to share a lasagna.  We drove to the restaurant and parked and a sweet young man brought us out our bag of food.  At the hotel dining area we all ate our meals.  A salad big enough for 3 people was included with our lasagna so we had quite a meal!  No cooking and clean up.  But no wine either!!!🍷  I guess we're going dry this weekend.😲

Love the picture of Carmilla.

I'm not sure if I asked in here.  I asked on FB and the trolls came out of the woodwork.

If you are on the Rotterdam would you please tell me who the Captain will be in January.  I always make something special for the Captain.

I live in my SAS brown shoes.  I wore black shoes once, and my boss said they were not appropriate for the office (this was years ago. ) I asked why, and he said they were not sexy enough.  Really? for a call center? -I changed departments, and he got fired.  Justice.

Drink of the day sounds good, but the NA version would be another glass with lemon juice and simple sugar.  ...  drat!

Have a great day everyone.

Regarding Christmas lights.  I think that what you do when you put up Christmas lights, is put a little light in everyone's heart as they pass by.  Enjoy!

Good morning all!

Just a quick hello before we head down to the airport.

Last night it was predicted we would have 60% chance of snow this morning, but thank heavens that isn't going to happen now.

We've been to Korcula several times, here are some photos from our last visit this fall on the Eurodam. I love visiting Korcula.  No time to hunt up more photos, unfortunately!

Thank you, Rich, for today's report.  Though I have only sailed on Holland 3 times I love coming here each day.

Went to our huge King of Prussia mall yesterday with friends.  A lot of fun but the big gift recipient was ME!  I purchased a new IPhone since my old one was 'ancient' and I was afraid it go out on me when I needed it most.  So Merry Christmas to me.  Have a great weekend everyone.  Katherine

@StLouisCruisers,Sandi,I still remember  how aggressive  DS's first high school soccer game was.The tame days of watching them play were over.I am rooting for Ren's team today.

@ger_77,Gerry, I had little  to no reaction from any of the 3 shots.DH was a little  under the weather but all of our adult children were more ill for a few  days.I just chalked it up to a benefit of being old.Ha.

DH comes home tonite.  It will be so good to have him home again. He is worn out, so DS said he will come tomorrow and hang my outside lights.   Even though we have had a horrendous year and probably should not be even thinking of decorating, I find the lights of Christmas to be very peaceful. They give you hope that things will go on.

By all means decorate.  You need hope ♥️

Well, the weather for the last two days is what we often feel is normal for the Bay Area. Fog!

Our Florida neighbors must be starting to wonder if we have stopped decorating the house for Holidays.  We’ll get that project done next week after we return Monday.

Here is some exciting news for us. We have made a deposit for for the 2024 155 Day World Cruise on the Azamara Onward. Starts in Port Everglades and ends in Barcelona. Looking for a pre cruise on Azarama to see if the cruise line will work for us after so many exclusive cruises with Hal.

Thanks Rich and all our contributors.

Rich? When is the Daily going to have a crossword puzzle?😁

One of my favorite drinks on Royal is a lemon drop, will toast everyone this evening when i have my first one. i will not, however, be wearing brown shoes!!

Another failed test! 😉 Bon Voyage! ⛴

I've had a lemon drop and they are good.  A little too sweet for regular consumption, but for an occasional treat they are ok.  The best one I had was at the Movenpick Hotel in Amsterdam.

Good to know.  I’ll be at the Movenpick next July. 🤞

It’s always nice getting a Christmas present early. 😁

Good morning Dailyites! Tonight is a Christmas tree lighting at church (they also did it last night). DH helps out with parking lot traffic. There will also be chili, apple cider, Christmas carols, a sweet treat so dinner is taken care of.

So I’ll go to service tonight and stay for the lighting. Then tomorrow I’m going with GFs to play bingo at a local casino.

Prayers for those on the care list and for everyone not on the list who needs prayers and hugs. A big “woo hoo” for those on the celebrations and shout out list.

Tak care everyone!

WELL...This is from post 124 on Btimmers live from Rotterdam:

I am just disappointed in Cpt Bas Van Dreumel. His announcements are limited to paper written announcements of weather and ship positioning… nothing else. Very cold, dry and sterile and this on the flag ship of the fleet. HAL has great captains with lovely communication skills, Cpt Van Dreumel is below standard… What a difference, for example, with the other Rotterdam Cpt Werner Timmers. CptVan Dreumelyou have to improve on this as Cpt of the flagship.

Good morning all. In honour of national cookie day I have finished my Christmas cookie baking. The posted picture is from last year but I always bake the same cookies and haven’t made up a tray yet this year.

it is looking like the fire table we bought in March will come in handy this winter as we avoid inside gatherings as much as possible. My Wednesday ladies group has stopped meeting next door because of Covid.

even though I don’t post every day know that I am thinking about all that need prayers and celebrating with those that have good news. So many days CC won’t let me post or sends my post to cyberspace. The daily is a bright spot in my day and the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing I check at night.

Have a great weekend all.
