Seeing Omnicron starting to recede just as quickly as it came.  Thinking that’s because the majority are vaccinated, now.

But, did rethink the timing.  Now, looking at a 2/26/22 Reflection cruise for Western Caribbean.  Seeing an S1 corner aft cabin #1214, which looks quite nice.  Anyone know anything about these corner aft cabins? TIA!

Love them on the S class....roomy balcony and cabin, great storage space...quiet...long walk to elevator but I for one think that's an advantage....:classic_wink:

Noise from above that sounds like scrapping fom the OVC area above and outside; other than that, not too bad.  There can be one or two poles, but I have yet to hit one. The balcony has a great view of the wake.  There are only two cabins that have their own private hallway  area, so very quiet in that respect.  I am not sure where the spider is on Reflection, but it wasn't on deck 12.

I see that #1214 is actually on deck 10 (rather than deck 12). We were booked a few years ago in the cabin above that one, #1688 (deck 11). We loved it and it was very quiet. We also loved the massive port window on the side wall. Definitely a nice cabin if you can secure it. 😎

You are totally correct; my brain is always fried after I get home from school...sorry.  Also, I am not sure about the spider.  Thank you for your correction on this; I saw the 12 in 1214 and immediately thought deck 12.  I beleive the spsider is on 10 or 11.  Thanks, Ken!

No problem. I actually had to check the deck plan as I get confused with those cabin numbers as well. As far as the spider goes, it was stationed along the wall between our port hole and the edge of our balcony and really didn’t cause too much of a visibility issue. But we definitely knew it was there. 😎

We are actually in 1214 on the Reflection for the Feb 5 cruise, our first time aft, we will let you know!

I have weighed up pros and cons of going on the Edge on our B2B 6th Feb.

I go to the shops, work and about my daily business, here in the UK. Hardly anyone is wearing a mask and social distancing has gone out the window.

I think being on a cruise with seven or eight hundred people on board the edge is a safer proposition.

I'd vote for Apex as newer ship catering to suites.

@graphicguy - maybe there will be some stars onboard 🤣 (sorry, couldn't resist the reference to one of you earlier pandemic cruises).

That would be fun/interesting/post worthy.  LOL!

Just as a note about @Shadow9612 ‘s reference, on my first cruise back from the shutdown on the Edge, there were two self proclaimed porn stars in the Retreat.  They acted the part, too.

We were on Summit for 5 days last month and wore masks whenever we were out of our cabin and indoors.  We sat far from other people in Horizons.  Very careful about hand washing, not touching my face, etc.  My husband did develop bronchitis a few days later.  He tested negative for COVID on 4 subsequent days at home and again at Urgent Care.  Moral of the story, be careful but remember that there are still other non-COVID viruses out there just waiting to glom onto us. 😁   We're booked on a TA cruise in March, and I'm still looking forward to it.

Good advice.  I've found that whenever I've returned from ANY cruise (pre/post COVID), I've always come down with something.  Sometimes it's just the "sniffles", a few times it's a nasty sinus infection.

That said, I've always wondered if it's the result of being in a plane, or flying out of Florida (my best bet), or something on the cruise ship.

The good news, I've always tested negative for COVID and am vaxed and boosted.

Well...woke up this a.m. and was thinking I'd call my TA and book the Reflection.  But, Apex keeps pulling me back (at about $800 more to book the same Retreat cabin).

I think you know what you want; you can't take it with you, so just do it!  Happy cruising!  Apex is a gorgeous ship, not to mention classy and full of things to see and do.

I doubt I will sail celebrity in any other class after sailing the Edge, other than my music charters which are currently on summit. Love the retreat on the edge.

@graphicguy - I think I have the solution for you.....

Reflection and Apex both depart on Saturdays.... So,...... Do BOTH consecutively!

Start thinking about shopping onboard for you know who 💞

While we were on Summit over Thanksgiving, we booked Reflection for the date you’re considering.  We also priced Apex, but went with the cheaper Reflection sailing.  Not gonna lie, kind of wishing now we’d gone with Apex!

Go for it! We have a March cruise and am not too concerned. We have been triple vaxxed with the added bonus of having the initial Wuhan variant in March 2020. I do appreciate the concerns about isolation though.

The numbers of cases in the UK has halved in the last week. Most people are no sicker than a usual Winter Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. The UK government is reducing the regulations (too early I think) for general life and travel too.

We sailed in the UK with masks on the Silhouette. No issue at all. Everyone complied too. I have worn masks everywhere indoors for the past 20 months though.

We had the corner Sunset Suite on the Silhoette. Fabulous. The pole was no issue. Appreciated the exercise.

Well...y'all are a bunch of enablers.

I just booked the Apex for 2/26-3/5 in an S3 cabin.  Will do my usual report about planning and sailing.  The question is, do you want it to be a continuation of this thread?  Or, start a new one?
