Yes, you will definitely get your preference.  But thanks for letting us know they may have the C&B sauce!  That makes me happy.

Is it beyond the capabilities of the onboard chefs to take a few mint leaves add to white wine vinegar with some hot water and caster sugar and present 'mint sauce'.  Perhaps a bar tender could make it for me if I ask for a Mojito, hold the rum, soda and lime juice. In fact just give me a glass of white wine and a few mint leaves and I will make it myself 😁

Agree!!!  In fact, the same thing crossed my mind a couple of weeks ago when they gave me jello.  I was thinking “Just let me go in there and make it!”  😂

A beautiful tribute to Jose-thanks for sharing.

For some reason only the 1st video will play-the rest have a message of "video blocked". Anyone have any ideas how to unblock?

Jacqui, I also had tears in my eyes reading about Jose’s burial at sea.  Both you and HAL made it a lovely and touching tribute to the love of your life.

I can only agree with these sentiments. I know this has been a hard trip for you.... even harder than you anticipated. I hope the remaining cruise home is gentle and peaceful.

Today in Malaga we did a tapas tour, arranged by Jacqui; it was wonderful!  Lots of variety in a number of different locations, but all very walkable from the centre of the city.  And a great tour guide who made you feel like you were just another good friend.

Tonight is “Dressy Night”, and I have to report that there’s another cut; it may seem like a small one, but it is a cut.  There are no longer “good nuts” served in the bars and lounges on “Dressy Night.”  And as @kazumentioned, the lack of wine stewards AND drink runners really slows the dinner process. The assistant waiter goes for your drinks, while the table waiter tries their best to get the wine.  It isn’t their fault that there are mistakes, as we all know they are trained to do wine service.

We are still having a great time, and are being treated so well by the HAL employees.  Tomorrow, Cadiz!

Jacqui thank you for sharing your wonderful trip and for the beautiful poem and photo from Jose's ash service.   Your photos are absolutely gorgeous!!

@ger_77Thank you for the heads up on the wine issues.  I think when we order our wine package we will carry in our own wine so we don't have to go through the hassle of no wine steward.  Keep it in our possession on our table so we can pour at will.  All of you thank you for sharing your wonderful voyage including @0106.

Oh Jacqui, what a lovely tribute to Jose.  You have certainly done all you could to honour him, and more.  I am certain he is travelling right beside you and you can feel his pride.  I hope the rest of the cruise is as good to you as you were to him. ❤️  Heal well my friend.

Last night we did our little burial at sea.  Met Cynthia in the Neptune Lounge.  All the invitees were permitted in for the occasion.  When the ship was far enough out to be safe we were escorted to the aft promenade deck (deck 3 behind the dining room).  the area was cordoned off for the occasion.

They had asked for pics (surprise, I had brought pics) and they supplied flowers (waiting to see if i get billed for them  - or should I say when and how much? 😉) and I had my bear (wouldn’t give it up the night before).

And after a few moments, a few ashes were sent to the sea off a BHB where Jose loved to spend time.  At his favourite port of Cadiz.

The flowers, pics, etc were returned to my room after the ceremony along with the certificate of the exact longitude and latitude.

Cynthia asked if I had a few words so I quickly found what I had read at Jose’s Celebration of Life and prayed I would be more understandable this time.

Many thanks to HAL and to Helen and Angelo ( @HELENPSL, Gerry & Maurice ( @ger_77 & to Jan, Brenda & Bill for joining me.  I so appreciated it ♥️

Very moving words Jacqui.

After 4 days of organized tour, we decided to venture out in Lisbon alone.  Told a cabdriver at the port we wanted to go to Museu Nacional do Azulejo, also
known as the National Tile Museum. The driver said 25 euros, I said 15, we settled on 20 but I still think it should have been 15.  None of the drivers directly outside the port were using a meter.  They wanted to take you on a tour and wanted cash.

The museum is set in Madre de Deus Convent, founded in 1509 and its collection is a journey through the history of tile, from the 15 century to present day.

Afterwards, we took a metered cab to Mercado da Ribera’s Time Out Market Lisboa.  Anything you could possible imagine to eat or drink.  Unfortunately once again my hunger got the best of me so no food porn.

Yesterday we enjoyed a relaxing sea day and the Meet and Greet in the morning.

Today is Funchal, Madeira.  We took a HAL tour called Botanic Beauty.  First stop was the Mercado.

We reboarded the bus to travel up the hill to Monte where there was time to visit the church.

Our final stop was a wine cellar where we could taste Madeira wine.

We received a notice a notice on the Navigator about satellite connectivity.  Here is a portion:

As we approach our Atlantic crossing, we would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention that as we travel across the ocean, it is typical to see a reduction in deliverable satellite connectivity.

Although the high bandwidth satellite footprint does extend into many sea and ocean areas, it does not cover the entire Atlantic Ocean region.  As a result, we are anticipating a reduction in bandwidth availability, which may result in a slower browsing experience, up to partial loss of signal and temporary outages.

Please do not worry if you don’t hear from me, I will post when I am able to get a signal.
