Thank you @twangster for another fantastic review. Photography stellar as usual. I really enjoyed seeing how the locks work and their history. I think I have moved this cruise up on my preference list.

Check my signature. 🙂

We arrive Vancouver Tuesday night.  Using points.  We were spoiled when we lived in NJ and could fly nonstop from Newark.  From Nashville we have to change plans. The other 2 couples we're traveling with for the first cruise,  arrive Wednesday.  From Tampa we head to Hilton Head with a rental car for a meeting and then a drive home.

Btw b2b cruises are nice.

Are you flying thru DFW??  We meet up with Chuck and Carol in DFW for our flight to Vancover.

I think we're changing in Denver.  United changed our flight. Originally I think it was Houston. We flew with American last May coming home from Amsterdam and they messed us up.  They couldn't care less. While I know I'll fly them again but try not to.  In Vancouver we're at Marriott Pinnacle Downtown.

We will need to get from airport hotel at LAX to the port for our cruise in Nov. Sorry if this sounds stupid but never used Lyft or Uber (don't have them where we live in the UK) but are those prices plus tip and if so how do you add it?

Either cash or add it on app.

Splendor is coming to Florida!  Well sort of.

Marella Discovery will be home ported from Port Canaveral soon for TUI.  It doesn't look like we (US citizens) can book her, she's being offered with packages from the UK that bundle airfare to MLB airport near the port.

Nonetheless Splendor a.k.a Marella Discovery will be back in the US and operating from PCN the day after we disembark from Radiance in LA.

I hope that changes at some time soon. There's already one itinerary out of PC that we'd love to take.

@little britain is from the UK and used Uber in Galveston.   Perhaps she can comment on her experience.

Are you sailing on the Eastbound Transit from LA to Miami on Serenade by any chance?

It's all done through their app, no cash exchanged. At the end of your ride, it'll prompt you for a tip amount.

I tipped in cash. It's a option. I gave extra as he had to wait for me. No driver ever turned down cash I've driven with.

What does this machine do?

California has an environmental regulation called CARB that requires ship connect to shore power and minimize engine use.

This machine hoists the electrical cables onto the ship.

I'm not sure if it was widely known that Radiance is shore power capable.
