I agree that roast potato was an odd thing to put with the salmon, but as you demonstrated it was easy to ask for an alternative if that didn’t suit. I had the chicken on a couple of occasions as did others on our table and found it very good. My husband described the sirloin steak as tender and juicy with a lovely mushroom sauce. Unfortunately these were invariably chosen to compliment the roast of the day, so you could end up with fish accompanied by roast potatoes and brussels sprouts! It’s the changed MDR lunchtime menu that I often struggle with, but that was also the case in 2019. We also found the Entertainment Manager hopeless. However we did enjoy some very good performances from the RKs, the Vinylettes, Tom Ball and Neil Lockwood. Apparently the Headliners were new and we didn’t think they were very impressive although thankfully they didn’t do many shows in the theatre. The Captain was certainly conspicuous by his absence during the storm! The weather was really horrific and in our opinion he should have given further updates and reassurances. We have sailed in similar weather on previous occasions, but we came across others who were quite concerned especially when glasses and bottles were smashing. There were three different speakers onboard and although we didn’t attend any of them others found them enjoyable and informative. Aurora remains our favourite ship and we are booked on her again for 2025. I thought the Headliners who left Aurora on Oct 3rd, (with us), had been on for much longer than that, I am sure we were told they had been on for a long time - more then 3 months, but I know one of them had joined towards the end of that stint, rather than at the beginning of the stint. But, if she said Cool and Fabulous once, she said it a thousand times. I could have throttled her, but she was very sweet and had a wonderful voice. Our performance was changed slightly by the Force 10 storm and high seas, so we couldn't go on the stage, but we did it anyway, standing in the first 3 rows of seats and hanging on! 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Though I did see a couple of them boarding when I was boarding. I noticed them because there was a few if them together and I remember thinking that it was unusual for a group of youngsters to be on Aurora without family, and then recognised them when they did the first show.
