Thoughts, impressions, and observations for the World Cruise.

We spent a beautiful day at Manly beach. The water was perfect, until the bluebottles showed up… but that was at the end of the afternoon so it did not spoil our day!

I thought you meant bluebottle flies! Are those little Man o' Wars? Fabulous photos! And we have so appreciated you sharing your cruise with us and such great photos. Thank you. ☺️

Thought so...and indeed they are. Nasty things: The Portuguese man o' war, also known as the man-of-war or bluebottle, is a marine hydrozoan found in the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. It is considered to be the same species as the Pacific man o' war or bluebottle, which is found mainly in the Pacific Ocean. Wikipedia

We will be back in Sydney Harbour on the 19th when Brilliance returns. It's absolutely lovely with so much to do from the Quay. We're in Melbourne today but it's farther from the action here. I think Sydney may be my new favorite port.

I love these pics.  I love seeing the lights reflecting off the water!  Night pics are challenging and you did a great job.   Thanks for sharing.

What make and model phone or camera was the video taken with?

I'm pretty sure John has a Samsung S23 Ultra. I was also going to what he used to take the video with.

You were blessed with lovely weather in Sydney (March is a great month to visit).  Glad you enjoyed your day out to Manly.

Newcastle is 2hrs drive north of Sydney.  Forecast for Newcastle is sunny and 29C (54f).  Enjoy your day at this coastal port.

nice sea water pool where it’s very safe to swim. The water was cool (22 Celsius) and refreshing!

Wow!  Beautiful pictures!  Thanks for sharing and the effort you are going through to post them.  Very appreciated!  🥰

Makes me even more anxious for our turn next year.  Circumnavigating Australia for 33 days on Viking Jan-Feb.  🙂  Then following with another 20 days doing the same with NZ into March.

Enjoy the circumnavigation.  We did it in 2020 on the Radiance.  Was supposed to go to NZ after but covid cancelled that trip.  Western Australia was so different from the big cities.

Wow some amazing photos of Sydney and Newcastle 😎

So makes me want to go back down under! We’ve planned it for Dec/Jan 2025/26 to coincide with Christmas holidays but these pictures are making me want to go right now 🤣

Keep posting your stops please 😎

Also with us.   We had Radiance scheduled for the circumnavigation...then it was cancelled not once...but twice.  First time for Covid, next time...just after restart, when we thought it would go this time...they cancelled it again.  That second reason was to yank her out and send her to New Orleans.  Talk about salt in the wound!  😡

So...RCI lost that money, when we rebooked for the 3rd attempt with Viking this time.  😉

Thanks!  It's paid in full now (Viking requires way too early full payment)....but it does make it feel more real now.  😉  Viking a more solid company than awful American Queen Voyages...those creeps.  😠
