We did the class on the 2nd week after Miami.   Looks like new instructor/chef from who we had.  And the hat is different.  Kind of looks like you want to say "You want fries with that"?  😄  

 

Looks yummy, good job John!   And you got to eat your class work!  😉

Besides the class we also ate there twice during the first quarter we were on...both times were very good also.  Ellen set us up for both lunches.  She even joined the group of us one day.  🙂

We always order to go from Izumi and I pick it up and take it back to eat on our balcony. It is usually windy, rainy or cold up on D12 and DW can't do the stairs.😇🍤🍣

John’s GBR photos are from Reef Magic out of Cairns.

 

A similar ship excursion is available out of Port Douglas.  Like John, we were blessed with very calm seas and snorkeling was also done off a large floating platform.  (This excursion was in December)

 

 

 

They also have the submarine available for non-swimmers.

That looks exactly like what our class made on Oasis a few weeks ago! We didn't get that knife placement tip though. I guess that helps to close it? It was still delicious!

We love Izumi!  Had the 10 Night Dining Package on each SA leg so we ate dinner at Izumi 3X each leg!  It’s always delicious!

Many times in dicey weather, it’s felt like we were blown in through the door to dinner!  Always makes us laugh!

Deck 12 being closed seems to be a very common occurrence. Closing outside decks annoys me to no end. The same goes for accessible helipad though they are becoming more and more rare.

Was that the employee entrance door on the back wall next to the bar?  Have seen group tours come out of there before.

Unfortunately, that is not a passenger elevator and is only accessible if you can convince someone on staff to let you use it.

No, I meant the employee door inside Izumi.  Have seen employees and tours come through that back door by the sushi bar.

Yes that is the back door by the sushi bar we had to use when deck 12 was closed. There are stairs and an elevator from the WJ galley that gets people to that door.

Thanks!  Simple question and you had the simple answer.  Much appreciated.  🙂  Now I know why that apparent tour come into Izumi from that door one day.  😉
