Rare ghstudio Posted June 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) Darn....I'm never in the right place. When do you think they will be planting grass on the M-class ships or are they no longer part of Celebrity? (it might actually be a good idea for deck 12) Edited June 7, 2015 by ghstudio
tangerinebunny Posted June 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2015 When asked 'what do you like best about Celebrity?' has anyone ever answered - the grass?
Iamcruzin Posted June 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2015 When asked 'what do you like best about Celebrity?' has anyone ever answered - the grass? No they said they liked overnight stays in the Caribbean. Haven't you been following the board?:D
Rare Beamafar Posted June 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 7, 2015 No they said they liked overnight stays in the Caribbean. Haven't you been following the board?:D Thanks so much for the laugh, Mike. I really needed one just now, too, so it's very timely ;)

yellowhat Posted June 7, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 7, 2015 The future customers (with the winning basket) personally selected by the Butlers..... ..doesn't this scheme sound like '$$$ profiling'? ..Love the Show..can't wait to see the Finale.. Anita Booked on the one of the last 'real Caribbean' cruises Dec 11..Thanks X
HAM Posted June 7, 2015 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2015 no they said they liked overnight stays in the caribbean. Haven't you been following the board?:d sweet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rare ORV Posted June 7, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 7, 2015 So if 400 Butlers were in the parks in various cities then who was taking care of their rooms on the ships? I didn't think Celebrity had 400 Butlers. Maybe these guys were just extras and not really Butlers.
Olive1950 Posted June 7, 2015 #12 Share Posted June 7, 2015 Just sitting here wondering how much those picnic baskets were worth? Celebrity has canceled several cruises on Infinity in October 2016, and they aren't even properly compensating the affected cruisers. It is always nice to know and see the TAIL continuing to wag the dog.... SHAME on you, Celebrity; SHAME on you.... I'll be sure to include instances like this on my post-cruise surveys. I don't think they give a tinkers' damn about comments on CC.
cruise47 Posted June 7, 2015 #13 Share Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) I feel Celebrity is trying to attract a new and younger cruise clientele. Edited June 7, 2015 by cruise47
Rare keesar Posted June 7, 2015 #14 Share Posted June 7, 2015 On our last couple of cruises, the grass area was closed off due to maintenance. It looked real sad. Nothing to brag about. It does look good in the brochures!
alinnj Posted June 8, 2015 #15 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I feel Celebrity is trying to attract a new and younger cruise clientele. I agree, they are looking for new $$ that will be there for many years! At my last CC meeting a crew member thought the CC meting was a joke
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted June 8, 2015 #16 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I agree, they are looking for new $$ that will be there for many years! Well if they are, they need to provide some substance to go with the glitz. Glitz wears off really fast in the real world.
Ex-Airbalancer Posted June 8, 2015 #17 Share Posted June 8, 2015 On our last couple of cruises, the grass area was closed off due to maintenance. It looked real sad. Nothing to brag about. It does look good in the brochures! It is usually closed off on Transalantic
wallie5446 Posted June 8, 2015 #18 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I feel Celebrity is trying to attract a new and younger cruise clientele. Hummm, I think we are younger than most they gave some of the baskets too!
Rare ghstudio Posted June 8, 2015 #19 Share Posted June 8, 2015 It is usually closed off on Transalantic  There is a reason for this....they change the grass before the ship leaves the US to a grass that will grow better in Europe....seriously. We watched them load sod onto the Equinox a couple of years ago and remove the old grass and replace it. They need four or so days for the new grass to settle in before they let folks walk on it. Yankee Doodle Posted June 8, 2015 #20 Share Posted June 8, 2015 No they said they liked overnight stays in the Caribbean. Haven't you been following the board?:D Now that was funny, Mike!
RocketMan275 Posted June 8, 2015 #21 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Any information on the contents of these baskets? I saw the picture which looks like a fairly standard basket. But, what's for lunch? Also, cost? Does one get to keep the basket? I know, a lot of questions which probably don't have answers.
Rare cruisestitch Posted June 10, 2015 #22 Share Posted June 10, 2015 Was able to enter for a couple of days but now the link is broken. Way to go, Celebrity IT Department!
Rare ghstudio Posted June 10, 2015 #23 Share Posted June 10, 2015 If the purpose of handing out the baskets was for publicity, it's not clear it had any value. I've seen nothing anywhere about that effort.
Rare hcat Posted June 10, 2015 #24 Share Posted June 10, 2015 Prediction...the picnic baskets they use on bd at the lawn (extra charge) & for balcony picnics ( extra charge) will eventually go to the stockpile of bad ideas....just like the little metal wire food baskets they tried out in the buffet..,,. What a silly ad campaign for a cruise line...guess the lawn is not producing enough revenue!
Rare cruisestitch Posted June 10, 2015 #25 Share Posted June 10, 2015 And the little wire basket of expensive snacks that appeared in my room for one cruise and disappeared shortly after. Reminiscent of flying coach, as opposed to any kind of luxury, modern or not.
